Looking up at the sound of a voice, Mikasa surveyed the girl near her in just one glance. A hoodie. Her eyes clouded just a moment, remembering another girl who also wore a hoodie from home. She focused on the moment, however, grateful that this girl was at least willing to listen to her, but knowing that she might not like what she had to say. And who would understand her cruel world? She didn't know, but she knew what she was going to say wouldn't be a pleasant story.
"Black Bat," Mikasa greeted coolly, remembering the name the girl had given her. It was unusual, but she could understand the need for secrecy, even in a place like this. If Eren hadn't transformed in the middle of a battle for the first time, his identity would have been kept secret. Annie's was for the longest time, as well, though she had a different mission than they did, one which she revealed with force much later. "I would say thank you, but perhaps that's better after I tell you my story. It's...as I mentioned, it's not a pleasant one."
She folded the scarf a bit tighter around her neck. It wasn't that she was cold at all, no far from that. The scarf represented the moment when she regained her family.
