Blackest Night: GLC #40 preview
The DCUBlog has the latest, wordless preview to Blackest Night. Yes, the s#@t has hit the fan, but it looks like we may have one genuine moment of welcome respite (before someone's heart gets torn out).

Oh yeah, mild SPOILERS behind the cut.

This image is so confusing, I know a lot of stuff is going on but I can't make out the details, and more importantly, I can't get the sense of dread, horror, conflict and valiant defense that I should be getting seeing the Green Lantern Corp defend against the Black Lanterns.

Is it because Jade has/had the energy of a different type of Green Lantern as part of her essence she hasn't been corrupted as much as the others?

in any case, I oddly found it moving.

	Awww... Kyle is equal parts Will, Love and Hope (or depending on the shade there, Compassion rather than hope, with works as well) (Reply to this) (Thread)

	The shape is interesting. Superman was many colors, all blending into each other. Other people focus on one state of mind at a time. Kyle seems to be more balanced than either. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Actually it might have something to do with her twin brother Todd. Jade was always the light to his darkness. Maybe she has some immunity to it. (Reply to this) (Thread)

May I point out that at this point, unlike her first BL appearance. Jade already appears to be de-zombified? No rotting flesh or the like. Just normal Jennie Lynn-Hayden wearing a BL outfit.

Maybe her powers or something else has already partially ressurected her? Or perhaps her soul got into the body and, unlike Deadman, she just has too much sheer will for the BL-ness to kick it out.

Not bad, though I think we'll see either Kyle bite it (I don't think so) or someone interfere (Soranik or Guy).

I loved Kyle/Jen, you understand, it was a pairing I was solidly behind fromt he start (though Kyle did do some stupid stuff, like kissing the amnesiac Donna Troy, but I was glad they got back together after that.) I hated it when they broke up, and for some reason Jen became a two-timer while Kyle was in space.

Of course, I know now they just wanted her out of GL so they could put her in the new Outsiders team. How'd that work out by the way?
