Blackest Night: GLC #40 preview
The DCUBlog has the latest, wordless preview to Blackest Night. Yes, the s#@t has hit the fan, but it looks like we may have one genuine moment of welcome respite (before someone's heart gets torn out).

Oh yeah, mild SPOILERS behind the cut.

This image is so confusing, I know a lot of stuff is going on but I can't make out the details, and more importantly, I can't get the sense of dread, horror, conflict and valiant defense that I should be getting seeing the Green Lantern Corp defend against the Black Lanterns.

Is it because Jade has/had the energy of a different type of Green Lantern as part of her essence she hasn't been corrupted as much as the others?

in any case, I oddly found it moving.

I forget, how/when did Jade die? Is that why she's not all rotty?

Pointlessly, in Infinite Crisis, as a member of Donna Troys' magnificently pointless "Let's take all these powerful heroes into space because... frankly we're not sure yet" team.

Pointlessly, in Infinite Crisis

Your word choice is redundant. ;)

we wouldn't have the multiverse without IC. I like the multiverse.

We wouldn't have IC if Marv Wolfman hadn't been an idiot.

Throwing away the multiverse was always a mistake. DC knows it, that's why it's been creeping back forever and why avoiding it has only led to layers upon layers of confusion, when the purpose had been to simplify.
It didn't work. and Wolfman was an idiot for doing it.

(And I'm a ToD fan. When I say that it's not the same as when I say Englehart irritates me.)

Sorry to be snarky, but...how's that working out for DC? They're barely even USING the Multiverse. Hell, even with the Multiverse, they're still finding ways to bring characters from other companies (Milestone) and add them into their universe instead of just keeping them in their own unique ones.

IIRC, she just faded away as her Starheart energy entered Kyle-- which probably explains why her body isn't all maggoty and stuff.
