Who: Vupecula, Pavo, Monoceros, Pyxis, Canis.
Where: The Arena.
When:Afternoon, day 72.
What: Game.

If you're on one of those teams, you can hear some happy music drawing you to the Arena. The arena is somehow, now, an tropical island. An island with a tiny volcano on it, serving as a firepit. There are also palm trees everywhere, and building, thatched with palm leaves, the door of which is locked for now.

On the throne is a judge none of you have ever seen before...you think? His mask does make it rather hard to tell. He's holding a surfboard in one hand, and his other is raised in a shaka.

"What is up, my little blank dudes! Are you totally stoked for the game?"

[picks up the balls, gauging their weight]

These are unexpectedly heavy.

[Elgala is gracefully picking spares... most of the time at least.]

There is a certain grace to it, and yet, the satisfaction for taking down something so far away is also quite fulfilling.

Bowling huh? I guess this is how you play it.

I've never heard of anything like it.

It's a sport back home... it's pretty much played in places just like this. I didn't remember how to play though, so I grateful that the Judge explained it.

[Gets a strike on his first throw]

...guess I'm not too bad.

[sadly that will be his only one]

*you're doing a lot better than Tavi is, don't worry*

Better than I am. I can't seem to get the speed down.

I think something I remember is giving me a slight edge in... 'ball control' if you will. [making 'the horns', also known as the thing Spidey has to do to shoot webs]

I have to make this hand sign to use a device I have in some of my memories. It's kind of like how you hold the ball. Another trick is that if you throw it harder, it goes straighter, but sometimes your wrist twists but you can't tell.

A bit off topic but...

[kind of getting a bit closer and quieter]

You notice anything different about Blood? Something seems a little different about her ever since that last game, which I am both sorry and thankful I missed by the way- these uniforms don't stand up to that kind of chill.

*nods*

She seems a little more like she was when I'd just woken up. I'm really starting to dislike these games -- the Judge keeps telling people to "make an impact", so they go in expecting to make changes.

Yeah... I think that's it. She's more... normal? Less like a constant state of... focus. I guess.

I don't really think it's a bad thing though, in this case. I mean, could you imagine her giving a Judge a high-five yesterday? I couldn't.

More relaxed, in a way. I couldn't either.

Tch. I hadn't thought that the bracers affected my coordination, but perhaps I was wrong.

They can affect a lot of things without you realizing, unfortunately.

[Canaan likes you, so he won't call you out on it. Of course, since he just put a ball in the gutter, he's probably just hoping you'll be tactful as long as he is.]

So I'm noticing. I've actually been wondering if there's something else they're affecting, but I have insufficient data to determine whether or not there's a correlation. Since removing the bracer would cause me to lose my memories again, I can't even test it.

*Jace has no intention of mocking other people's failure when he's doing considerably worse*

Um...let me think. Psychic wards and limitations on abilities seem to be the major issues, but there could be something we're missing.

[Then we're cool]

[Canaan shakes his head slightly.] It's unrelated to my capabilities, so far as I know. But I'm uncertain as to other reasons why the effect would be happening. It didn't begin to show until shortly after we recieved the bracers. The timing could be coincidence. But without the ability to test it, I don't know for certain.

. . .

Like Orion's Uhura, I find that I'm almost always hungry. But it's not precisely hunger, either; more that the food isn't satisfying me like it should. I've been eating passably well, due to spend most of my days gathering, but you can see that it's not enough. It wasn't a problem when I first arrived, either. In fact, at that time, I required slightly less food than I do now to feel full.

[And, indeed, Canaan is noticably thinner than when he arrived in Sabra; he's muscle and bones, despite all the time he spends gathering for his team.]

I thought of that as well; however, I don't recall if I have any special dietary requirements. I've been eating both vegetation and meat whenever possible, since both are required to maintain a healthy body. If it's a deficiency of something, I don't have any idea what it is or how to fix it.
