Out of Character

I've been agonizing a while now, because drops are always depressing, but now that summer is here, I'm faced with a long, long list of projects to be done on the new house (and in the yard). I've had to take a long, hard look at my activity, and I'm realizing I'm just not able to keep up and give it the attention I would like.

I wish you all the best, and hopefully I will still see some of you elsewhere, but I figure it's better just to bow out gracefully than to take one of those indefinite hiatuses. Much love!

So just an FYI for all of you. Lilah's laptop is currently being repaired. She doesn't know how long it will take, so she might be gone for a little bit though hopefully it will be fixed sooner rather than later!

Kelly here and I've just now realized that I never did introduce my newest character. This is Mary Wincheter (II), though at Li's suggestion I've taken to calling her MJ (for Mary Jr) in my head to avoid confusion.

She is the future daughter of Dean and Jo (yes, that makes my head hurt too), future niece to Sam, and sister to the missing Ellen.

At the moment, she has a big plotty type thread in progress and after that she's slated to interact with Tessa, but then she's free for plot. She definitely needs to meet up with Johnny at some point in time because she knows him in the future.

Also, I totally want to do the song title challenge with Jo and someone. Any takers?

OKAY! So! This is my pathetic cry for attention/attempt to figure out what's going on with my characters in light of recent transitions. I've had my weekends jam packed with RL stuff lately, but I should have some time to play come Sunday and next week.

Sam - was looking out for Molly, and probably needs to get back in touch with his brother, and Jo.

Tessa - needs something to do besides lurk in the shadows, waiting for somebody to die.

Anita - should network with whatever vampires and weres are still around, and with the other law enforcement in town.

Ruby - I'm still on the fence about keeping her.

But the song plot looks like fun!

PS: An activity check is coming. We aren't going to tell you when, as we've been more than generous with the posting regulations lately. If you have not been posting, we suggest you do that.

Over the next couple of days, I'll be doing some work on my house to get my office up and running. The bonus of this is that my replies and time online will be a lot less erratic. But first I have to actually do the work part of it. I'm not sure right now if I'll be getting to the replies I owe, or if I'll just hit them once or twice a day during breaks. I have to see how I physically feel.

I've been working on it for most of the week, and if the rest of the job makes me feel as I do right now, I might just have to pass out instead of spending time online.

HOWEVER. This will all be completed before Monday, so I won't be gone for any extended amount of time.

I am really sorry to everyone I vanished on. I got sick out of nowhere, and thought that it was going to be just a couple days worth of cold. As I'm sure you noticed, it was not. I'm still recovering a little bit, but at least now I can sit up and I'm not drowning myself in Nyquil.

I'll get to my logs as quickly as possible.

Dear all:

I know we've sort of hit a slow-down, and I just wanted to be sure that everybody knew why. I've emailed some of you directly about things, but I want it on record, just in case.

For one, Dyan has been having computer and health issues of the serious sort.

For my part, a cousin, with whom I was very close growing up, died in a car accident a few weeks back. It's been very difficult for me. Also, my relationship of over two years has gone on a hiatus with no end date, and it's looking very much like it's going to be a solid break-up (though I'm still hoping for a happy ending in the future.) It's been very hard for me to concentrate on much, but I've tried to tag when I can. I'm taking things day by day, and unfortunately...

... while I'm feeling a good deal better, I'll be back east with my family from March 3-11.

What does this mean for the game?

While I am gone, Kelly will be acting as a sub-mod. Please be kind to her. :) It's going to be business as usual while I am away, but when I am back, there will be an activity check.

Also, we're going to do something we've never done in this game before: a game-wide challenge. I'm hoping to get information on that up tonight or tomorrow, and it may even start while I'm still gone.

I really appreciate everybody's patience with me, Dyan, and the game as a whole. I do want you to know that it remains a priority for me, even though I've gone a bit off the map. And the goal is to get it to a faster-moving, more active state. It's just going to take a little bit of time.
