IT IS AWARD TIME!

Ladies and gentlemen! One of your mods is veeeeeeeeeery tired, and the other is drunk. So of course, we made you things.

If you participated in the Halloween threads, we've got something for you. We tried to be as fair as possible, and there is something for every character that participated in the plot below. The depth of the award depends on how active your character was during the time the plot ran. We did put this to a vote, so if you didn't vote... *shrug*

ANYWAY, ON TO THE GOODIES!

curiosities!

A note on the curiosities tent

- The open thread STANDS. That opening is for any character. Simply respond with a new sub-thread. He's sitting in there every night of the fair, for now.

- The man with the pipe will give your character an item.

- Your job, in order to complete this portion of the Fair plot for your character, is to use that item in a thread at any time before we, the mods, call the end of the plot.

- The item received is very, very important to your character--or to someone in the thread with them when it is used. That item is going to save someone's life, or completely change it.

----- What does that mean? Well, let's use an example. Right now, Riley is speaking to the man in the tent. Several items are listed off. One of them is a key. The recipient of that key can choose what it opens or unlocks, who it opens or unlocks for, and the outcome. A few possible examples:

- The key opens a safety deposit box. Your character now possesses a clue as to what happened to the Asylum. Or is now wealthy.

- The key opens the control panel for one of the rides, which, in the thread in which you choose to use it, is malfunctioning. Your character can turn the ride off and save several lives.

- The key opens one of the Gates on Trout Run Road that's otherwise been rusted shut and cannot be gotten around.

THIS IS ALL YOUR CHOICE. IT IS ALL UP TO YOU.

The items your receive are mod-controlled. You cannot swap them out. The man with the pipe will not take them back, either. Otherwise, it's all you. ;)

PS- If your character isn't very nice to the man with the pipe, he's going to be less... helpful... and your job as a writer will be harder.

OKTOBERFEST

The Pennsylvania Oktoberfest State Faire has come to York! But, like most things that find their way to Helam township, it has been subjected to the energies of the Hellmouth. The workers are completely unaware of the new surprises the carnival holds, and are just as likely to be freaked out as anyone else. We wouldn’t eat the candy apples if we were you.

DETAILS )

So, what does this mean for your characters?

- Until Lauren or Dyan get a chance to post the opening post, which should happen by this time tomorrow, it means they see fliers for the faire, and big trucks for set-up. It means they notice an influx of people to York.

- Once that opening post is up, that means you're free to explore. Please note some of the time-specific things above, like the Corn Maze. We'll cue you when they start and finish.

What does this mean for you as a player?

- Participate in as many or few plot bits as you want.

- Please tag your posts appropriately: ie, Curiosities, Tunnel of Love, Corn Maze. Any posts that go up during this time period that mention the faire or people having to do with it need to be tagged OKTOBERFEST.

- For the Corn Maze, please only unleash ONE crazy psycho killer per customer. We can assume safely that any employees at the maze would be dressed differently, so please read to be sure we're not unleashing two Pinheads on the town. Because no one needs that.

BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAH! HAHAHAHAAHHAHA! Have fun!
