Matty here! I'm posting because I am working on Romilda Vane over at ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) discrepant. She's 23, former Gryffindor.
Basically, what I have for her is that she's of a pretty well off family her dad owns a Real Estate Company, her mother is a columnist for Witch Weekly, and she's felt the pressures of being the only child and daughter of them for awhile. And she's done pretty well. She was an investigator for the DMLE, but recently was fired for basically going way off case with an investigation and disobeying orders. Think something like... in True Detective when they were stuck and Rust kept doing shit he wasn't supposed to. So because she's young and pretty well known because of her family, she was basically threatened to step down. And she's embarrassed and mad and doesn't wanna talk about it. Unless she does, then she'll basically go on a rant about corruption. So now she "works" for her father's company, but basically it's busy office work that she hates and kind of half does. But she mostly just goes into the buildings her father owns and bothers the people inside. She's going through a bit of a rough patch.
ANYWAY, she needs some connections. Either some from the high-class-high-money world of her parents (which she kind of despises, but also can't help but enjoy) or some from school (she was in the tail end of the DA and fought in the Battle), she basically has had a crush on everyone ever, so that's also a connection. She likes to bother people, so she needs some reasons to. :P

Hello all.
So I just posted about the Vini Uehara PB. I'm working on turning him into ex-Slytherin, 27yo Miles Bletchley (even though his 25 year old PB looks about 18, sigh). I'm working on his history and personality, and was hoping to score a few connections to make this work.
A few things I'm thinking of for Miles (recently edited a bit to show updates now that his FULL BIO is fully finished):
- Miles was definitely on the DE track as a youth (just like Draco, if a few years older and from a less prestigious family) and had some purism issues
- Bisexual, and a little devil may care about it (in fact, a bit of an attitude of "screw tradition and have fun" in general)
- Mother Isabella died when Miles was 10 (by suicide, and Miles found her), and after a few years, his father Edward remarried a beautiful younger woman named Marina (potential connection to someone there?) who got pregnant just after he finished Hogwarts
- Edward was sent to Azkaban for DE stuff after the BoH, in large part because Miles squealed on him to keep himself out of trouble (and then he took a few months to lay low and practice quidditch in Brazil while things cooled down after the war)
- Marina basically told Miles (when he got back) to shape up or ship out because she didn't want Clara corrupted by purism and all the dark and twisties that had basically ruined the Bletchley family thus far, so Miles... reformed (sort of) and threw himself into quidditch
- Miles spent a handful of years as a reserve keeper, and only like two years ago got bumped up to first string
- He has a soft spot for his his kid sister Clara, is actually on decent terms with stepmom, and outside of quidditch as a hobby, he likes to have fun (i.e., he's a charmer of menfolk and ladies alike)
- He has a bit of wangst in his history and in his head (mommy issues, and guilt over what he did in the war, and also over basically selling out his father), and so has decided he just wants to enjoy himself, so he has decided basically not to take anything seriously any more
That's about as far as I've gotten thus far, so I'm looking for connections to help me fill in the details of the last 10 years since Hogwarts. Fellow Slytherins he kept in touch with, new friends, quidditch pals, ex-flings, ex-relationships (few and far between though they may be), family connection through stepmother, etc etc?

Hi ho, all.
Taking a break from homework due, like, yesterday (I know, I know, sigh me, so busy with homework and still thinking about more characters...) to ask if anyone would be interested in a male character with the face of Vini Uehara?
He could be a Manny, maybe? Or something else. I'm not even fussed as to whether he's an OC or canon character.
I don't even know. Basically I'm just asking if anyone is looking for any particular connections or lines with a male between the ages of 20 and 27ish (I think the PB is 25), and if so, we should talk because I might be interested in building him. He wouldn't have to be a permanent character, either, if there are any plot needs that involve grievous bodily harm or death. I'm open. :)

| Fawley & Associate letter officials |

Hey! So, because I didn't think to do it until a million days later I'm putting this here instead of in an ic post. BUT on Oct 4 Fawley and Associates was broken into. We're saying that while filing cabinets were broken into and papers spread all over the place nothing was physically taken that could be found. Law Enforcement assumed it was a bunch of punks looking for drugs seeing as some ingredients and potion inventory were missing from their Apothecary.
F&A would have sent out a blanket letter on Oct 10th informing all clients of the break-in. And assuring that security has been increased so that there are no repeate incidents. They would have said something along the lines of "While we have no physical evidence that your personal records were tampered with, client files may have been accessed by the intruders. Law enforcement officials urge that if you're approached by anyone who would know anything about your medical history to contact them immediately."
So yes!Anyone who considers them a client of any of the Fawley and Associate services, Magical Seed, Psych Wizarding, or Physcal Therapy, child things, etc... would have been informed of the break in. Lemme know if your character would have contacted F&A or if they would have asked or accused or whatever.

Hello, friends! My name is Jeanne (CDJ _kyri), and I'm applying for Padma Patil. I've come in search of connections and storylines! I've been discussing a few basic things with Robyn, of course, since Padma's main connection is with her twin sister- but beyond that, I just have a very vague outline of her character concept and I'd love to see how she might otherwise segue into existing game things.
At the very basic level, she's a Ravenclaw c/o '98 (as per canon) and a Healer (in the Spell Damage ward, because of Parvati reasons). She stayed in the UK for her Healer training when Parvati disappeared, which caused a bit of tension (I imagine). Things are working toward being mended there, though. Overall, Padma is intelligent, driven, quick-witted, and articulate. She has very little (read: no) tolerance for stupidity or ignorance.
Connections-wise, I'm pretty open! Co-workers, romantic lines past/present/future (of any gender, as I haven't really sorted out her sexuality yet, haha), friends, patients? Let's hear it! ♥

In an effort to speed things along and make up for lost time, I am going to sum up what's been going on with The Boy Who Lived in this post... After the Brooms For Tots game, Harry Potter was rushed to St Mungo's, where he remained in a coma until 17 October. He woke up with no recollection of how he ended up in the hospital, and struggling to remember any personal details. Several news outlets announced his successful recovery, with two incorrectly stating that he was in full health (to be fair, other than the amnesia, he was). He has slowly started to recover memories- although none of them have been more than five years old. In order to monitor his long-term memory loss he is currently residing in the Janus Thickey Ward. Unfortunately, the staff are not full sure how to help him, since his amnesia was caused by physical rather than magical trauma. Meanwhile, Harry Potter is going a bit stir-crazy, and is tired of having arguments with Gildrey Lockhart about which one of them defeated Voldemort. (Since he cannot remember doing it, he wonders if Lockhart might be telling the truth after all... Despite assurances from Ron, Hermione, and visiting Weasleys that he is the hero in that particular story.) If one or more of your characters decided to visit Harry (before he woke or since), lets plot about how that would have gone in the comments here. And then we can go from there. |

Soooo I know I need another character like I need a hole in my head (particularly considering two are still in the "waiting to be killed off" stage), but there is a sad lack of Weasleys in this game. And about the only one I can fix that with is George.
But I would like to slightly tweak his original premise. He's still an alcoholic, but he'd be much more in denial about it. I describe it as he knows perfectly well he has a problem, but he likes to think that he's still keeping it hidden. (Spoiler: He's not.) He also doesn't think it's so much of a problem he can't still handle it if he wants to.
So, basically a George who's more prone to mood swings instead of just straight-up hating everything. He has some extreme ups and downs and poor Verity's the one who has to see the most of them. I already chatted about what this would do to that dynamic and it's all kosher, but I wanted to check in here to see if that would mess with anyone else's relationship too much. The main one I could think of might be Noll, but bug me about any others.
(Also feel free to tell me this is a terrible idea and to go away. Er, from this concept. You're stuck with the kids I already have.)

So, I wanted to start a conversation about who all is or has been a client of the fertility clinic Ella operates. Whether it's a played character or an npc relative or what have you. This will also help me solidify who all Ella knows on a professional front. lol
Magical Seed @ Fawley & Associates - Uses magical and muggle techniques to help fertility within the magical community. They help with fertility hormones, in vitro fertilization, reproductive surgeries, sperm/egg donation, etc. In my brain they'd have a lot of family's who use their facility but would want to keep it a secret (IE; Pureblood families, traditionalists, etc). I expect they likely have a protestor or two outside of their office from time to time - but they also have floo accessibility in their lobby/offices to avoid all of that.
Let me know your thoughts on these thingsss!

Taking a page out of Emily's book, I'm going to call out for some connections here too.
Meet Melinda Bobbin (it's a preliminary profile, but the general idea of her is in there). Hufflepuff, 1997, Maître Pâtissier (or pastry chef) and (part?) owner of Sweet Nothings in Aeri Alley, a cake shop with it's only little cafe section. She's Cho's cousin, and that's about the only connection I have for her.
So I am looking for connections for her and am offering her up for just about any kind of plot.
Business partners: are there someone who works as a baker or a barista who would be working with her? Co-Owner? Who did she borrow the start-up funds for the shop from? Was it the wrong kind of people, and now they're out to collect? Or could her dreams of doing a cook book or a baking show be coming true? Cake decorating lessons?
Friends: are always nice, of course.
Romantic connections: either past, present, or current. Could there be an ex out there, maybe even someone who was more than just a long-time boyfriend?
Basically, I'm offering up this (literally) sweet girl for both fluff and drama, and someone who knows her regular customers' favourites.

So HEY, this is Em and I'm working on Marietta. (I have to finish running through and revising and updating her old profile, but it's in this journal so take a peek please!) And I need connections! So far I have:
- Cho, bestie (obviously)
- Megan, at least coworker but possibly partner I think we were going with? Shall we just say partner? Theirs is the dynamic that crime shows are made of, they're practically Rizzoli and Isles (note: I will be okay if you don't want them to be partners, you have a say in things too, I'm not a crappy person and I'll still play with you, etc etc I'm just excited)
And I need at least one more!

- DA alum, "betrayed" them, yadda yadda but she had her reasons, they're explained in the profile
Personalitywise she is a black-and-white thinker, all about rules, judgmental, feminine, romantic. Loyal to Law And Order above everything, loyal to her family next of all, though Cho's pretty high up there too. It's kind of hard to explain so I hope she's not coming across as totally awful in the profile because honestly I don't think she's a total stick in the mud or anything and lacking in humor.
She has an older brother who is also a hitwizard, a little brother who's IDEK what, she's a cousin of Jimmy Peakes (whose hitwizard father tragically died in the Battle of Hogwarts, more in profile) and basically she has a ton of DMLE/Ministry family ties.
She's also flipping adorable (though this is not helpful for being a hitwitch) and has some amazing puppy-dog eyes. Please plot with me!

Hello folks!
I'm Robyn. I was recommended this game as a particularly great HP world to play in by Lise (Ginny, Lee, not sure of any others). It does indeed look like fun, so I thought I might give it a try! It seemed a good place to start was to see if there was any interest in having Parvati Patil around?
I haven't really developed her character concept fully yet because I thought I'd see how she might fit in first, so I don't have a lot of concrete information to offer yet. Still, the few things I do have in mind for Parvati include:
- Looks like Freida Pinto, yay icons!
- Is permanently injured/disfigured from the BoH - serious scars on her thighs and abdomen from a blasting hex she barely survived, ongoing pain particularly after spending too much time on her feet, infertility due to internal damage that couldn't be healed. She'd be pretty bitter about this.
- She could have spent many years with her family in India to heal after the BoH, only very recently returning to London, if I can make enough connections that way. If not, then she could have been around a little longer.
- Works in the field of Divination (reads tea leaves, palms, stars, and other signs); has a touch of the Sight but in an intuitive way, not a concrete tells-the-future way. Still, enough to potentially be useful for nefarious plot possibilities.
- I have the vague idea that the reason she came back to London is to open her own shop in Diagon Alley, but this could be adjusted if this is already covered, and she could be an employee.
I'm open to any sort of connections (exes, friends, rivals, patrons, it's complicateds, schoolmates she kept in touch with while away, etc), but a few thoughts I have are:
- A guy she dated after the BoH, which would have ended horribly because she felt hideous and damaged.
- The one who hexed her in the BoH, who could be either unrepentant or ashamed over what he/she did to Parvati.
- A schoolmate she wrote regularly while she was away healing, whom she confessed her darkest and most depressed thoughts to.
- A patron for whom she recently predicted a very significant event, who treats Parvati like a Prophetic Goddess and comes to her for advice.
So, any thoughts, interest, or connection ideas? Would she fit well in this game?

So: This is Aimee. I'm working on this girl because I made the mistake of mentioning her in that check-in post, and now she absolutely will not leave me alone.
So, I'm thinking she's going to be Megan Jones, who is a class of '98 Hufflepuff. (I was looking for other names, then I decided it amused me to use Martha Jones' actress for Megan Jones.) She's a hitwizard, which always seemed like the less-glamorous law-enforcement career in the wizarding world. I don't know if it's quite beat cop compared to detective, but maybe kind of how the FBI is compared to local police departments in crime shows? FBI gets the funds and attention and glory, while the local departments get sort of resentful when the FBI shows up to steal the show? (Veto me on this if need be, Jenn.)
Personality: She doesn't really go for the "sweet, unassuming" 'puff stereotype, aaaand it kind of annoys her when people assume she will be. She has attitude, determination, and she'll kick your ass if she has to. She also has a bit of a temper on her, so she might kick your ass if she doesn't have to. (She NEEDS a partner; she's good at her job, but someone else has to be around to go "JONES. TAKE A DEEP BREATH, JONES.") But she's willing to do unpopular jobs because someone has to do them. Not everyone can get the high-profile, exciting cases; someone has to go arrest the flasher in the park and the three-time-offender domestic disturbance.
Anyway! I need some connections, although she sort of has enough built-in ones just by being a Trio-aged character. I'm thinking her older cousin is Gwenog Jones of the Harpies, so that'd give her some distant quidditch connections. Fellow law-enforcement types: Surely the aurors must work with the hitwizards, even if aurors specialize in dark magic. Ministry types: She'll be around the Ministry, so lunchroom shenanigans, political intrigue. Old Hufflepuff schoolmates: Hit me with what you've got, love her or hate her.

PLACEHOLDER FOR ZENITH CRUX PLOTTING. PRETTY UP LATER.
- An organized, elusive, & mysterious crime syndicate of nefarious means.
- run predominately by pure-bloods but utilizes full & half bloods as well.
- focus not as much on blood purity as on world domination in general.
- seeks to do this through infiltration and through the control of certain artifacts, both magical and muggle.
- higher ups "masterminds" that control groups of others including the middle management - cells almost.
- the lower levels might be: assassins... foot soldiers who stop conspiracy theorists getting too close to the truth, or generally anyone who might get in their way. there are the companions (this is the category most likely to have "unwilling participants") who are... well, kind of like escorts. they're usually entertainers (singers, dancers, even skilled conversationalists) in ZCs employ who are usually assigned jobs to people with knowledge, though some may even have assassin-duties... mostly though they're used to entice and coax information, wealth, and in some cases even the very artifacts wanted... there are ~tech guys~, people assigned to just keep watch (taking a m.o.m. job, or marrying a high ranking official, for example), and obviously ~middle management~ who seem to be in charge and orchestrating things, but ultimately answer to higher up folk.
zc is not an officially known entity. it's a conspiracy theory. a superstition. a story you tell your kids to scare them. anything that is "known" to be a ZC plot or connection is not a publicly known thing. some characters have never even heard the legends about it. others don't believe them even if they've heard them. so yeah.

Step brother to Morag MacDougal. There are three others (two are playable) Lachlan Urquhart (DE dead in BoH but would be 29), Malcolm MacDougal (28) & Lex Urquhart (27). So basically there has been a MacDougal - Urquhart in every year of Hogwarts from '76 - '98
Was beater on his house team.
Hates politics. Was outspoken in his hatred of Dumbledore, Potter, et al. Was equally outspoken in his belief that the Dark Lord was full of shit. He lost his father in the first rising and wanted none of that, even when his step father and older brother got involved.
Livin la vida quidditch star. You will see his cocky expression frequently on billboards and on the WiVi promoting everything from the broom he helped design, to quidditch supplies, to clothing, to accessories, to toiletries, etc. Often reported in the company of a new WAG. Legendary manwhore.
