I like to keep my issues drawn-
Characters: Wanda, Clint
Setting: Malibu WCA HQ
Content: Nothing questionable
Summary: Wanda and Clint have a chat about very important things
Pietro was gone. Wanda had no idea where he'd run off to, he hadn't even bothered to tell her and even though she told herself not to worry (he was faster than anything that might try to take a bite out of him, after all) of course she could do nothing but worry. She convinced herself that if he had gone, it must have been to New York, maybe to check on the other Avengers or on his girlfriend and believing that was easier than suspecting he'd gone off to Genosha. If he had gone there, though, Wanda couldn't even really blame him for that; she didn't think he'd ever be able to let of that last shred of whatever it was he felt for their father.
Still, she kept searching all over the Malibu house, knowing even as she looked that she wasn't going to find him here. It wasn't worth trying to get in touch with Cap or Tony because Pietro was probably safe and she really didn't want to hear that he wasn't in New York, either. Eventually she made her way up to the roof where Clint was keeping watch, more for something to do than any actual expectation that Hawkeye had witnessed her brother's departure.
"Clint," she greeted him, "You didn't see my brother leave, did you?" She stood beside the archer, shading her eyes with her hand to look out, first over the ocean and then over to the open land on the cliff tops. There were zombies out there, and even some down on the beach, but there had been for weeks. They came and went and never seemed to breach the house's defenses. The fact remained, though, that there were more of them all the time. Wanda thought it was just a matter of time until they broke through, but she hadn't really voiced her opinion to anyone since her argument with Tony over the phone. An Avenger, apparently, wasn't allowed to be afraid.
