WHO: Lena, Thomas, Jamie, Roxanna?
WHAT: Finding the stash
WHEN: Wednesday evening
WHERE: Their home
WARNINGS: Drugs, swearing, yelling
Since their wedding, Lena had been in a state of perpetual bliss. Despite being the worst kind of morning person, she'd even started waking up chirpy, which Thomas had taken to recording because he just couldn't believe it. Lena truly believed, now that they were married, everything would be wonderful now.
Sure, it was a little naive and her illusions were sure to be shattered eventually. She hadn't expected it to happen in the first week.
Thomas and Jamie were in the living room chatting while Lena searched for a safe place to store her wedding dress. The closet was a little worrying because they were in there so often, and she worried it would get lost in the mess. That was when Lena noticed the shelf, high up near the ceiling. It wasn't that she hadn't known it was there, she just never really needed it before.
She pulled out a stepladder and climbed up, ready to shove the boxed dress up there for safe-keeping when her eyes fell on another box resting on the shelf. What confused her about the box, was that it wasn't dusty like the rest of the shelf, which meant it had been placed there recently. Lena wasn't even aware the shelf was being used. Assuming it was something else from the wedding, Lena opened the box and when she saw what was inside, she very nearly fell off the stepladder.
Her arrival was proceeded by her angry stomping and when she entered the living room, both Thomas and Jamie were staring at her. "Are you fucking kidding me with this?!" she yelled, holding up the box of pills and pouring it out on the sofa. Half a dozen bottles of vicodin spilled out, scattering across the cushions. "You'd better tell me these are bottles you forgot when we flushed your stash last time," she hissed at him, but she knew they weren't.
The box hasn't been dusty.
He didn't answer, choosing to stare at her in horror instead. "You're a fucking liar, Thomas Kemp!" Lena shrieked at him.
