This fic had a lot of things I usually don't like, but not only I didn't mind any of it, I loved it all! It was fantastic. The first line just grabbed me, then the next one, and the next, and I simply couldn't stop reading. I loved your Draco voice. Seriously, so much love! And 1st person is one of the things I usually don't like - it rarely works for me. But here, wow. It was absolutely great! Bloody brilliant.

A marvellous story, thank you. :-)

Oh my god, this was incredible! I am not articulate enough to explain what made this fic so wonderful, but eeeee. I loved it, thank you Mystery Author for such a wonderful fic.

I was completely hooked by this fic on the first line, and it didn't let go until it was over. Wonderfully written and full of luscious detail. You did an excellent job with the first-person POV. And I loved the interactions between Scorpius and Draco - tender without being cloying and completely believable. Thank you so much for this :)

OMG, Scorpius and Sophie and Pansy!!! And Draco loving being a whore and Narcissa and how the Slytherins have scattered and omg, the descriptions of the Christmas lights and Harry looking hot in his Auror getup, oh, and the tin Auror, and the dog, and oh, St. Thomas for the fucking win, and omg, the moment when they first call each other by their first names, and just yeah. This is...this is perfect and I love it and it's so funny and mournful and hopeful and cynical and just amazing all at once. Eeee. I love this to fucking pieces.

this is a very nice story! i love your all characters and how very realistically you portray them, but particularly Sophie. she's so proper and clever yet unbelievably vulgar every time something comes out of her mouth in french! nothing more endearing... :)

I can't even begin to say how good this was. Wow. I had to keep going out for things, so it took me a good couple of days to get through it, but... just wow. Fantastic - instant favourite :D.

&hearts I've been keeping up with a lot of holiday fest fics this season, and I must say this is my favorite so far. Everything was just spot-on. Thank you for writing and sharing!

Oh my God, this is so fucking good. I just finished it, it's 12:34 am where I am, and oh my GOD. I started smiling at the screen by the first few paragraphs. Draco is perfect. Harry is just as perfect. And their kids are done just right. Scorpius is appropriate for his age, slightly spoiled, still lovable, not sticky-sweet-cute like many fic writers try to make them. Sophie is excellent; I wish I knew her. Ginny's spot-on (and no one has ever said this but she and Lee were practically meant for each other, why are there not fics about this?) Pansy! I love Pansy myself, I have a couple of fics written about her, and she sticks to the Pansy in my head here. Just--fantastic writing, utterly engaging, and it makes you smile at the end. I'll be waiting to find out who wrote this so I can go read everything else the author's ever written. Whoever you are, I think other fic writers should take fucking lessons from you.

Oh this is RIDICULOUSLY amazing. I love Draco so much, and Harry, and usually I can't STAND first person or present tense or fics from Draco's POV, but all of that didn't detract at all, it was stunning and incredible and just WOW. I don't know what perfect is, but this about as close as you can get.

One of the best whore!Draco fics out there! I enjoyed this immensly. Sophie was incredible, as were Scorpius and Narcissa. (I have a thing for Malfoys, did you notice?)

Harry showing up with Lee as his date to make Draco jealous is a scheme worthy of the twins.

What I liked most though is that we see everything from Draco's POV, wich means that this is a fic where Draco is 'Draco' and not 'Malfoy', which always bothers me, especially in sexscenes. Being intimate with someone and still calling them their last name is just...off, somehow. But you don't do that!

Went on a bit of a ramle there, didn't I? Suffice to say I loved it!

This fic is wonderful (and I think I know who you are...)

The sex is hot and I'm in love with your Draco and the sex is hot and Harry's so canonically dense and the sex is hot and the Slytherins! OMG! and did I mention that the sex is hot?

But my favourite part of this fic is your characterisation of Scorpius - you clearly know at least one slightly odd four year old very well :-)

Wow! I'm so wiped out after all that fantastic story that I can't muster the coherence for a proper review.

Rentboy fic though it is, nothing about this felt obvious. The supporting cast was incredible - Sophie and Pansy, Theo, and Scorpius is just a complete litle scene-stealer. I love Draco's obvious doting, along with his occasional snide remarks about the perils of kids.

Your Draco voice is fantastic. Compelling and entertaining, and absolutely constant through the whole long fic. And you kept us totally aware of his feelings without ever pushing him into sentimentality. His reflections on Lucius's demise were heartbreaking, and you gave him some wonderful moments with Narcissa - the scene where she notices how much he looks like Lucius, and the other where she makes it clear that his profession makes no difference to her - they are just those little gems that separate really good fanfic from the bloody stellar, and truly moving human moments.

I was spellbound from start to finish. Your writing is so strong, quick-moving, beautiful selection of details (all sorts of little things like Harry's Auror uniform just tickled me, and the names of hotels, Draco's mahogany bed, the unusual presence of condoms and your explanation for it, the quick trip to the Marais, even the opening paragraph describing describing Pansy's New Year party was superb). And St Thomas - what a bloody brilliant idea!

And the sex - oh god - just fantastic and real-feeling and clumsy and hot.

This is very, very memorable fic. Thank you so much!

Ahh, that was so incredible. I’m addicted to this story - the writing is gorgeous, the development of the H/D is smoothly done and so lovely, the angst is perfectly placed, the happy is so warming, and all the little details in between are an absolute delight. Oh, and bonus points for the Wham inclusion. *g*

Wonderful stuff! Thank you for such an entertaining read. :)

Dear god, that was awesome. I loved St. Thomas, and the children, and Draco... the details and visual snapshots that you gave made the whole thing real -- like the simple "The knitted wool is soft, ticklish. His fringe peeks out from beneath his bright red stocking cap..." -- it makes me feel almost as if I can see Harry there too, and it gives me such a sense for the depth of what Draco feels.

Anyway, just, awesome. ♥

That was one awesome fic. I envy your giftee, I really do. The characterization was believable, the sex scenes were hot, and the interweaving romance was very touching.

Am full of fail because I read this when first posted but failed to comment since I was (happily) incoherent by the time I finished reading...

I love rentboy scenarios and have read plenty in my time, but I don't think I've ever come across one where Draco is all grown-up, and chooses this way of making a living in order to support his son. (The domestic set-up with the secret door/stairs was inventive *and* cosy!) I loved loved loved all the characterisations, especially Sophie, the children, and omg St Thomas! (Is the church based on a real one, in Holborn, by any chance? If it is, I might just go in the next time I'm passing by, and try to find St T!)

Fantastic writing throughout (...Potter's flat is large, but empty, decorated in early divorce. ), warm, compassionate eye for characters, and a terribly exciting crescendo leading up to Draco's realisation that he has broken Teh Cardinal Rule. Thank you for a wonderful read!

This was brilliantly done. The plot is so gentle, realistically-paced and nauanced in terms of both character and relationship growth. The characterization of both Harry and Draco is incredibly authentic, and it makes for a unique pairing—unlike most H/D that I've read. Finally, you have such a way with words, and your first person/present tense voice is unusual (from my experience with fic) and really grabs the reader. It makes Draco real, makes the story real, and makes the trials and developments and success all the more meaningful.

Brilliantly done. I'm glad I had a chance to read it.

I really enjoyed this! I'm normally a very slow reader, but this story had such a nice flow to it that I finished in record time. I loved the first-person Draco POV. Also, great use of supporting characters like Pansy, Narcissa, the kids, Sophie, and Ginny (thanks for not making her a hateful bitch).

I just finished it and it was brilliant.

I can't tell you how much I loved your Draco. Oh, Harry was in character and interesting, but your Draco stole my heart. I can so see him doing something he enjoys and can get lots of money from.

And I have to say that your secondary characters were very good. I especially loved Draco's wife and how he had met her.

And I just love the imperfect happy-end that you created.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful fic.
