I thought I would be able to handle taking on a role-play, but I think it is painfully obvious that I am not. I deeply apologize for wasting everyone's time and energy and I wish everyone the best. Maybe I'll join a less active rp and see some of you again.

The Post Office is now open for business!

How it works!
The Peregrine Mendicant will conduct her route every day in the late afternoon to early evening--meaning every Friday (according to GMT-6 or CST, for you folks on the other side of the globe). This will consist of a very all-purpose action/voice post for all things Mail. Those who can expect mail that day will be listed in the post itself for your convenience!

To OOCly submit mail, PM has a post in her journal where you can state, for example, “Deire is sending a package of cookies to Sentience.” The entry will be cleaned out for each new in-game day.

While you can leave it at that, and OOCly state in the Friday posts that a character received their mail without incident, you have the option to thread these things out!

In other words, in the Friday posts, you are absolutely welcome to play out your character receiving/reading that day’s letters, opening their packages (either after receiving them at home or after pickup at the office later), having them come by the post office in a back-dated thread to submit their package or to learn how mailboxes work, swoon over a mysterious love letter with a friend, or to simply chat up the strange-looking mail lady during her route!

Basically, anything you feel like that has to do with getting mail.

ETA, for clarification: The content of letters will go in the comments of the Friday Mail Post itself, not PM's mail pickup on her journal. If a character is receiving more than one item that day (and this will be specified in the Friday post), wait until they've posted a comment, and then respond to that comment with the letter. Otherwise, the letter-writer can probably get away with commenting first, labeling the letter-comment with, for example, [Deire's letter to Sentience]. As long as we don't get double threads going for just one letter, it's all good!

The Post Office
A tiny building with a convenient metal drop box. During office hours, you can drop-off and pick-up packages at the counter, or stop by to put the finishing touches on your parcel using the stationery and packing supplies.

There are two hand-drawn signs: one demonstrating how to address your mail, and the other with the rules, which is posted both by the drop box and inside the post office. Naturally, these can be broken or bent as suits your character, but PM will be VERY angry if she finds out, and of course the Defense Force may be involved for safety-endangering abuses of the mail system.

1. Leave brief OOC comment in PM's journal to send mail anytime before Friday.
2. Players will receive mail on Friday post, meaning the body of your letter, in comments.
3. Thread as much or as little as you want re: mail!
4. Profit.

Between whatever my allergies are doing these days, a stronger than usual barrage of migraines, stress, plenty of distractions, and some RL stuff, I've been having trouble getting the brainpower to tag for the last few days and not sure when things will pick up.

So for now I'm going to call a slowatus. (Yes, I know I'm already slow, sorry.) Hopefully it'll improve soon.
