The Case of the Pentacle Masquerade, for drusillas_rain

From: Your Secret Snupin Santa

Rated: Gingersnaps (PG13)

Summary: Consulting detectives Severus Snape and Remus Lupin team up with Sherlock Holmes and John Watson to solve an unusual mystery.

Notes: For drusillas_rain, who requested: "Cross-over with Sherlock (BBC's new show) - Snape and Lupin have to work together with Sherlock and Holmes in Muggle London. There's mystery and intrigue, Sherlock/John (implied is fine), with Sherlock deducing that Snape and Lupin are in love with one another and is subsequently responsible for getting them together. Bonus if you can work in that Mycroft has some magical ability and ties to the Wizarding world (and is maybe the reason Snape/Lupin's case was brought to Sherlock's attention)."

Many thanks go out to my wonderful beta, M. I couldn't have finished this without you holding my hand and cheering me on. You're amazing. Also, I owe a great big THANK YOU to the people who keep this exchange going. Thank you for all your patience and hard work!

To Drusillas, happy holidays! I hope the story comes close to what you hoped for!
