Wed, Apr. 29th, 2009, 11:03 am bethbethbeth: FIC: "Dark-Eyed Wanderer" for odogoddess
Recipient: psyficAuthor/Artist: purplefluffycatTitle: Dark-Eyed Wanderer Rating: NC-17 (although most of the story rates lower) Pairings: Severus Snape/Filius Flitwick, mentions of Severus Snape/Lily Evans (unrequited) and Severus Snape/Lucius Malfoy Word Count: ~13,800 Warnings: Canon character death, discussion of grief. Summary: After the first war, Severus is reprieved by law, but not by himself. It takes a special person to make him embrace life once more. Death, however, always waits. Author's/Artist's Notes: This story took a long time to crystallize, largely because Filius is not a character I had ever before really considered. Thank you for a prompt that took me outside my 'comfort zone,' psyfic. I feel the better for it, and I hope the result is satisfactory :-) ( Dark-Eyed Wanderer )
Tue, Apr. 28th, 2009, 12:02 pm bethbethbeth: FIC: "Daring to Love" for anguis_1
Recipient: anguis_1Author/Artist: cardigrlTitle:Daring to Love Rating:PG Pairings:Millicent Bulstrode/Vincent Crabbe Word Count:4325 Warnings:AU in that Vincent is alive, UST, Frequent Snape References Summary:Learning to live is hard. Daring to love is even harder. A post-Hogwarts short story featuring hurt/comfort as Millicent, Vincent and Greg struggle to make a life for themselves on their own terms. Author's/Artist's Notes:Thanks to my wonderful beta who made this a much better fic than it otherwise would have been. I really hope you like this, anguis_1. I'm sorry for the lack of smut, but they are cautious people, these characters. And I hope you don't mind the liberal Snape references. I picture Millie especially as someone who learned to internalize things and be cautious in what she says. And Millie had a lot of thinking to do. So we see some past events through a Millie filter instead of canon's Harry filter. ( Daring to Love )

Mon, Apr. 27th, 2009, 11:59 am bethbethbeth: FIC: "Finding a Niche" for cardigrl
Recipient: cardigrl Author/Artist: alwaysasnapefanTitle: Finding a Niche Rating: PG-13 Pairings: Severus Snape/Minerva McGonagall Word Count: 7,903 Warnings: Character death. Summary: Severus Snape isn't the wizarding world's most welcoming person. When he joins the staff at Hogwarts, things quickly take a turn for the worse. It takes a little strategy and a little luck, but they put Professor Snape in his place, and a relationship forms. Author's/Artist's Notes: When I reread your likes, I realized Severus would be good to do, and decided I'd pair him with a woman from your list I love him paired with. I've never tried these two together before, and I hope I did them justice. I tried not to leave any of your favorite staff members out. Also, I gave Minerva the keys instead of the chess pieces for protecting the stone. In my opinion, the chess pieces had an Engorgement Charm (Flitwick's department), and the keys were clearly transfigured. It's the only way that makes sense, and if that isn't the way J.K.R. intended it, I guess that makes this a very slight Alternate Reality. ( Finding a Niche )

Recipient: arcadian_dreamAuthor: lee_west / westwardleeTitle: Persuasion Rating: NC-17 Pairings: Barty Crouch Jr./Rabastan Lestrange Word Count: ~3,300 Warnings: Dark, with torture. There are wee kisses between young boys, but nothing explicit until they are eighteen and older. Summary: Barty Sr. had high expectations for his only son, a boy with extraordinary intellect and high morals: a career in the Ministry, a happy marriage to a nice witch, a few children with the same rectitude and intelligence. Fate had other plans. Author's Notes: Many thanks to my beta. arcadian_dream, thanks for listing the two boys; I've always been intrigued about Barty Jr.'s motives in joining the Death Eaters, and I really enjoyed writing this tale. ( Persuasion )

Before beginning a new school term, she decides to take her usual holiday by the sea to gather her strength, but someone else has different plans for her and things do not go as she expects. Author's/Artist's Notes: My thanks to atdelphi for giving me a chance to write this pairing again. I hope you enjoy your gift! Also, many thanks to the people who gave me their time and thoughts on the story and its artwork! I appreciate your help more than I can say. And finally, many, many thanks to the moderator of this wonderful fest! It's definitely become one of my favorites. ( For the Sake of Argument )

Recipient: chazpureAuthor: hayseed42Title: Grownup Stories Rating: Somewhere between a PG-13 and an R, but mostly for language and suggestion of physical abuse Pairings: Eileen/Tobias, Severus/?? Word Count: 5268, according to the ol' word processor count Warnings: Suggestion of child abuse? Summary: A mother tells her son what she wishes was a fairy tale. Author's Notes: I... uh... kind of feel the need to apologize for this, because I get the feeling the requester was asking for something a little sexier, but I had to kind of go with this idea because, well, you'll see. Hopefully the fact that I was encouraged to love any Snape-plot-bunnies I might have makes it okay. ( Grownup Stories )
Tue, Apr. 21st, 2009, 12:09 pm bethbethbeth: FIC: "A Sort Of Fairytale" for cat_goddess
Recipient: cat_goddessAuthor: kayceeTitle: A Sort Of Fairytale Rating: PG Pairings: Severus Snape/Millicent Bulstrode (background Dudley Dursley/Ginny Weasley) Word Count: 7,795 Warnings: EWE. AU-ish. A bit of snark (Millicent isn't exactly a 'people person'). Summary: Millicent is perfectly happy acting as a spy for the Order, but when Headmaster Snape, the object of her hidden affections, suddenly vanishes without a trace, she decides to go searching for him, not caring whether he wants to be found or not. Author's Notes: I hope you'll enjoy the story, cat_goddess. I had a lot of fun writing it. ( A Sort Of Fairytale )

Recipient: istalksnapeAuthor: arcadian_dreamTitle: Sixteen Rating: PG-13 Pairings: Minerva McGonagall/Sybill Trelawney Word Count: 1584 Warnings: angst, femmeslash, hurt/comfort, implied sex, and a substantial age difference between the characters (I’ve estimated that Minerva is approximately 25 years older than Sybill – at least, that’s how it works here). Summary: Minerva breathes deeply and, for a moment, she wonders how it is that she has come to be here. Again. Author's Notes: istalksnape: thank you for a wonderful set of prompts, and affording me the opportunity to write Minerva. I really hope you like what I’ve done with it all. Many thanks also to T, for giving this the once-over. ( Sixteen )

Recipient: vivien529Author/Artist: chazpureTitle: The Years in Her Life and the Life in Her Years Rating: PG-13 Pairings: Minerva McGonagall/Alastor Moody Media: pencil on paper, slight clean-up in Photoshop Warnings: none Summary: Number 12 Grimmauld Place was dilapidated, moth-eaten and doxie-riddled...but it had not always been so. Minerva well remembered one particular velvet-cloaked nook, and the tales it could have told. Author's/Artist's Notes: For vivien529, who said something Minerva-centric would suit. I hope you enjoy this! ( The Years in Her Life and the Life in Her Years )
Mon, Apr. 20th, 2009, 12:08 pm bethbethbeth: FIC: "The Good One, The Mad One, The Bad One" for naughtysnail
Recipient: naughtysnailAuthor: dognmonkeyshowTitle: The Good One, The Mad One, The Bad One Rating: NC-17 Pairings: Neville/Rosemerta Word Count: ~4800 Warnings: Nothing that isn't implied by the ship and the rating, though it is a bit on the angsty side. Summary: Sometimes you just have to throw the rule book out the window and follow your instincts. Author's Notes: naughtysnail, you asked for a a metric ton of things I love to write, including cross-gen with the younger person initiating, and angsty, secret relationships. I couldn't manage to make it chan, and I know you asked for no Weasleys but for some reason I can't write Rosemerta without Weasleys at least being mentioned, but I hope it pleases anyway! And a 120 decibel shout-out to my beta, the lovely 'M,' who repeatedly smacked me back on track as per her brief. ( The Good One, The Mad One, The Bad One )

Despite the warning there, this recipient asked for a happy or hopeful ending. She also asked for hot sex, but I concluded the relationship and a hopeful ending were more important to get in there so that was where I focused; I hope that was the right call. ( Jigsaw Pieces )
