Who: Mohinder and Molly Where: The Suresh household, India; Mohinder's new apartment in NYC eventually When: May 6th, afternoon. What: Cryptic messages from Gabriel that Mohinder can only decipher as 'sh*t is going to hit the fan' has him deciding in an (irrational) instant to go get Molly and bring her back to keep her safe. Rating: PG?
It was irrational, and Mohinder knew it. There were things going on that he couldn't understand (and in a way, didn't want to understand, either) that drove him to purchase a plane ticket online and pack an overnight bag. He would fly to India and pick up Molly and return; it was simple as that. In his mind, anyway.
Before he left he made sure that his spare bedroom would be to Molly's liking; he purchased a couple of 'girly' items; a pink throw for the bed and bought her a cell phone so he could make sure she was alright. He couldn't remember if Molly liked pink, but he hoped so. He had bought her a pink Razr phone and a pink laptop to boot. He bought her some books too, that he brought in his carry-on along with the cell phone; his and Matt's numbers had been programmed already even though Mohinder hadn't been able to get a hold of the man yet.
He'd slept the entire flight since he'd worked the graveyard shift the night before; it was better that way so he didn't second guess his thinking. He didn't tell his mother that he was going to show up; he just kind of did, knocking on the door and letting himself in. He smiles some and takes a deep breath; she was cooking. "Mum?" He calls, stepping further into the house after removing his shoes, "Mum, its Mohinder." There's silence for a moment and he considers going out back to see if she was hanging laundry on the line when she appears in the doorway of the kitchen. "You look wonderful." He smiles, and she brings her only son into a loving hug. "Where's Molly?"
