RP: Can you help me?
Date: August 5, 2006
Characters: Cass, Adrian
Location: Percy's house, 4 Agrippa Circuit
Summary: Cass and Adrian meet to discuss his mother.
He had been restless all day, and would barely have been able to stay still at all if it weren't for the fact that moving hurt like hell if he went at it for too long. That and it made him fall asleep as soon as he sat down, sweaty and completely exhausted.
He was moving, however. Not so much down or up the stairs (thank fuck) but once downstairs he could now move on his own to the bathroom or to the kitchen or even to the garden. It was a bit cloudy today though, so he didn't stay outside for too long.
When time closed in on the time that Adrian was supposed to be there, he found his restlessness increasing. He couldn't be sure how Adrian would react to the news of his mother, or if he'd want to help, or if he'd even be able to. Still, it was the first little piece of hope he'd felt in such a long time that he couldn't help but to hold onto it.
Of course that didn't keep him from being nervous.
His cousin had reacted better than he'd thought to the news of his mother (if not to anything else he'd said) but would Adrian? He wasn't so sure, but that was something he couldn’t think of right now. He had to think that Adrian would understand and accept, well at least understand, or he'd be a wreck.
Five minutes to four now. He sighed, letting himself flop down to a lying position on the sofa. He really shouldn't keep looking at the clock, it didn't make time go faster. He also shouldn't lie down with Plato on the sofa, he realised all too late as the dog began licking his face. Frowning, he moved to sitting again, grunting as his insides protested the move. Plato whined a bit, but settled at his side as he started to scratch him behind the ear, casting another glance at the clock.
Still five minutes to four.
He really needed to stop looking at the clock now. It wouldn't get Adrian there any faster.
