Adrian raised an eyebrow at the piece of information, knowing from experience that you could usually control your wards, especially in smaller houses such as this. It was the houses such as his estate that tended to be more unpredictable; each owner had left his mark on the place with nastier and nastier curses that were a pain in the arse to unravel when trying to integrate somebody - Stephen - into them. "Hello to you too and why can't you pull the wards down? Is this not your house?" he asked, walking in.
He reached down to pet Plato's ears, fond of dogs even if he didn't think he'd ever want one himself. Then again, with a baby in the house he didn't think him or Stephen would have time for one anyway. "Is he yours? I didn't think you had animals, you dark horse," He slanted a look at Cass. "What else are you hiding?" he half-teased.
Nodding, he walked into the living room and blinked at the tidiness of the place. Judging from Cass's desk at work, this definitely wasn't his house. "So how are you?" he asked once Cass had reached the room.
