Plot time! Good fun trope time!


Starting on Sunday, October 6th, characters in town will wake up de-aged! Players that want to participate can choose any age for their characters to be spanning from younger childhood to —well. Anything younger than what they are now! (No babies please, that’s not safe!)

Affected characters while de-aged will have mostly memories from the age they were at that point, with a few vague memories from now and in-between mixed in so that all these poor kids aren’t just forced to feel like they’ve gotta deal with stranger danger and asking for their parents the whole time.

Little tiny FAQ:

+ Do I have to participate?
Not actively? But this stuff will be happening around your characters, so you can’t really ignore it either.

+ If I choose to participate, do all my characters have to de-age?
No. Some are completely allowed to just be normal aged, horrified and awkward a la Arnold Schwarzenegger in Kindergarten Cop.

+ Will the doors still be open for this plot?
Oh yes.

+ If my character was never a child, can they be de-aged?
No? I don’t think so? Change my mind if you want it.

+ How long does this plot last?
8 days! 10-6 to 10-13! Backdating is, as ever, totally fine.

+ Why?
Because this place is weird, and weird things happen sometimes.

It's been a heckin' sort of month, hasn't it?
It has.

So let's even out the weird with some good! Activity checks this month require only a check in to say you're still here and ready for All The Threads! Just post your name and your characters and you passss! If you somehow fail to do that by the end of the month, I will have to drop you and I will be sad about it.

Well, Halloween is coming. So look forward to some spooky spooky plots! But in the mean time, how about something a little more fun AND hectic? What are we feeling guys? Age plot? Body swap? Let's get the good tropes rollin'! Lemme know what you think or else I'll be forced to flip a coin. Ugh.

From tomorrow until the 22nd of August, the heat in Starklandia will be sweltering. We're talkin' 100+ Grossout McGee sticky nonsense. It's terrible. Why didn't anyone think to build air conditioning?

Wanna try your odds at finding somewhere with nicer weather through the doors? Well. (In)Conveniently, they're only opening up to desert locales.

Yo everyone! The gifting plot has started and runs until the end of the month! Remember you need your gifts mod-approved in the last mod post (follow the tags to find it!) and they cannot be back dated! If your character was apped in the last week, they aren't eligible for gifts, sorry!

Also! Keep in mind that Activity Checks are due by the end of the month, so you've got about a week to get all your activity in. As ever, those who fail to make or turn in activity will be dropped, so get it in!

After that everyone gets a few days off before the gifting plot begins:

The Gifting Plot

Any time during this period (so, no backdating is accepted!) your character can receive a really great gift! It can be something bigger that you might not be able to get as gifts in partner threads i.e.: The TARDIS for the Doctor, or a specific room or portion of a building (that will, miraculously, fit inside your characters’ house or apartment with no problem at all with some House of Leaves and Doctor Who style bigger on the inside magic) or pretty much anything else you can think of (barring npcs, and with mod approval!). Gifts to not have to be something your character has had previously!

BUT, if your character gets a great gift, they also have to get a bad gift! These will vary by person based on canon, of course, but some examples might include: a bad memory they tried covering up, an item that reminds them of something bad that was done to them, or that they used to do something to someone else with, etc.

For a more specific example -- Tony Stark will be getting the entirety of his work labs (that will fit into the storefront building that he currently uses as a workshop, but will now span several floors, even if it doesn't look like it from the outside). That's his good gift. As a bad gift, he will be receiving the arc reactor. Or, more accurately, will wake up to it being in his chest again.

IF YOU PLAN ON PARTICIPATING IN THIS PLOT YOU MUST COMMENT IN THIS THREAD WITH WHAT YOUR CHARACTERS ARE GETTING, MOD APPROVAL IS NEEDED.

Today starts the Super-Flu plot! It runs until July 17th!

Just as a recap, the illness will blow through one of the doors that was opened at random and will seek out those who are considered anything about a normal, baseline human. This can be super humans, mutants, jedi, aliens, wizards/sorcerers, etc. How the illness hits your character is up to you! They can have a sniffle, a fever, or lose their powers/enhancements completely, or have their powers be completely out of whack and not work properly. Wizards could be unable to do magic, or feel worse and make themselves more sick when they do it or— well, the sky’s the limit.

Base human characters are, for once, better off than the others. Take that!

Characters can opt out of the plot/sickness by having been through other doors the time that it swept into town. It might be possible to find a cure with enough brain-storming, though. And if not, well, it’ll wear off naturally in 12 days. Sometimes, the real cure is the plots you found along the way.

Alright everyone! Reminder that the Activity Check is due by the end of tomorrow (June 30th)!
