Rogue was anxious. She could feel the personalities that she'd absorbed since her mutation had manifested right under her skin, ready and eager to take control of her body as soon she let her guard down. John had taken advantage as soon as he'd been able to the night she'd gone to Fangtasia. The bar wasn't a place that had really held any interest for her, she'd turned down two invitations to go and she had been in the middle of declining Peter's invite when John had suddenly gained control, his interest piqued at the opportunity of hanging around vampires and other supernatural creatures he considered on his level, basically anyone not human. The entire time Rogue had seen through her eyes but every movement, every smirk, every word hadn't been her own, and it was one of the worst experiences she'd ever had. It was worse than being paralyzed, she'd felt drowned out by John's presence and no matter how hard she'd tried to fight off his influence, he hadn't let go until after they'd reached the prison.
As obnoxious as her old friend proved to be, though, he wasn't half as bad as the others she'd touched. Yeah, he was the reason Roman was mad at her but she would rather mouth off to every single person in the prison than let someone like Jimmy or worse, one of the leviathans, roam around the prison with her mutation at their disposal. The latter hadn't shown up just yet, thank god, but she could feel them too and it was only a matter of time before one of those monsters decided to cause some real damage. It was that fear that pushed Rogue not to try to tough it out for months in silence like she had with the memories, that and Isabel's stubbornness. The blonde had refused to let her go at it alone and Rogue couldn't have been more thankful to have someone to lean on while her ability was screwing everything up.
She gave Isabel a nervous smile before walking into the infirmary where Max was waiting for them. "Hi," her voice was more subdued than it normally was as she tried to ignore the others in her head telling her that it was a waste of her time, that she would never be rid of them no matter what she did. "Thanks for making time for this. Do we get started or did you want details of what's going on?" She glanced over at Isabel again before looking back at Max, hoping that they could get started right off the bat. As soon as she was rid of all the personalities, the sooner she could apologize to both Roman and Stiles for being such a bitch or speciest in Stiles' case.
