Isabel watched carefully as her brother worked his magic on her. It wasn't actual magic, alien powers but some phrases were hard to quit even after finding out that magic was legitimately a real thing. She wished she had Max's powers. The royal four each had their own individual powers though and Max's happened to be healing. Isabel's was dreamwalking. Isabel had already helped a little now maybe Max could finish the healing process.
"It did?!" she squealed excitedly. Okay, so it was a half hearted hope that Max could fix Rogue but half was still better than none. She was so pleased for that thirty seconds when she thought that Rogue had been cured by Max. But then Rogue's expression changed dramatically. Isabel exchanged a look with her brother before she stepped closer to Rogue.
"What is it?" she asked as she took her friend's hand. "They're not gone, are they?" She put her hand to her mouth trying not to look too panicked. Rogue was losing it though and it was obvious to her roommate especially when she had walked into her cell to find Jimmy waiting for her instead of Rogue. "Okay! Well there has to be something else we can try, right? This prison is full of supernatural beings! Someone has to be able to help you!"
Isabel realized she was getting upset but she was so worried about Rogue. She was the first real friend she had made in the prison and Isabel didn't make friends easily. She wanted to protect this one.
What good was it being an alien when you couldn't use your alien powers to help your friends?
