Who: Destiny and Isaac
What: Ripping the band aid off
Where: Destiny's cabin on Katherine's property
When: Tonight
Warnings: Dick Roman is making a brief appearance so yes
Isaac had been staying with Destiny for over a month now and they had a routine down. When Destiny entertained clients, Isaac went for walks. What he did on these walks, Destiny didn't know and didn't ask. If Isaac had wanted her to know he would have volunteered the information himself. During her free time they spent it mostly together. Either hanging out, eating whatever Katherine had supplied them for the week. She thought that maybe he might have even finally gotten a taste for the red wine that she loved to drink by the bottle.
It wasn't all just playing house and hanging out. Destiny was helping Isaac. She had gleaned that in his lifetime he hadn't had a soft touch. Dead mother, abusive father and packmates who, though not fault of their own, weren't exactly of the nurturing variety. Allison, Stiles and Scott might be newly adjusting to the darkness in their hearts but Isaac had been living with his for a lifetime. Destiny had no problem playing rough for the clients that liked that sort of thing but Isaac needed something soft. And she made love to him like the pro that she was. She was always careful, always gentle and kind and afterwards he would fall asleep exhausted and sweaty on the guest side of her bed.
Sure, sex could be therapeutic and Destiny didn't hold back when she shared her spirituality using her body as the instrument. There was more to it than that. Energy work and pressure points, aromatherapy and calming teas. Isaac's energy had gone from a skyrocketing one hundred to a temperate fifty in the time they had spent together. She was positive that a lot of that also had to do with the talking. They talked for hours. It took him some time to warm up to her but once he did, he didn't hold back. The unburdening of the soul was one of life's greatest reliefs.
But full relief wouldn't come without a little bit of pain. Isaac was stronger now and Destiny was positive she had broken the hold Dick Roman had over him but there was only one surefire way to find out and that was to bring Dick into the conversation. Destiny called Isaac into the kitchen and gestured for him to sit down across from her at her small table.
"We're going to try something different today," she started. "I'm not gonna lie to you, Isaac. It's not going to be fun but I think in the long run it will help you." She could see the scared little boy rushing to the surface of those Pacific eyes. "I'll be here the whole time. You'll be completely safe, okay? I want to contact Dick Roman in Purgatory."
She reached out quickly and put one hand over Isaac's. "He won't really be here but he'll speak through me. Just remember that he can't hurt you with anything but words. Don't give him that power."
