Faith didn't need a virus to feel rage.
She had been pissed off ever since her conversation with Selene the night before. Then she had gotten all of an hour and a half of sleep before shots had rang out in the prison. Faith could instantly tell the difference between shots being fired at zombies from the sentry tower and a gunshot from inside the prison. There was no rest for the wicked and Faith slipped into a pair of dirty jeans and a tank top before she went into leader mode again. She checked in on Rachel Berry and made sure that Alcide had her covered before going into the infirmary to check on the new girl Quinn, to make sure that her injury wasn't life threatening. She knew that Clint was right about weapons and rage not mixing well but it wasn't as if she could strip the prison of their weapons. They needed them to keep them safe.
Once she had the players all in place and the prison was safe in the hands The Council, she messaged Dante and asked him to meet her at the gate. She would have just gone herself but especially in a time like this, she wanted to set the example and leave with a buddy. She knew Connor would be pissed off if she didn't and there was already plenty of rage to go around in the prison. She asked Dante not just because she trusted him but because he didn't live at the prison so she wasn't taking anyone away from their post. She also trusted Dante to break things up if she and Selene got too heated.
As promised she spotted his familiar shock of white hair standing at the gates waiting for her. "Thanks for coming," she said, offering him a nod. It was the best she could manage. There wasn't really anything to smile about at the moment. She knew he could tell there was something wrong with her, the two of them were so similar in so many ways. She spilled her guts about the whole Selene situation to him on the way over. She figured if he was going to be her escort he at least had the right to know what was going on.
By the time she was done explaining the entire stupid thing to him, they had finally reached Selene's cabin. She asked Dante to wait outside for her because she didn't want to actually drag him into the middle of things unless she absolutely had to.
She checked her eyes in the reflection of the glass door on Selene's front stoop. They were still their usual dark brown without even a trace of red. Her heart rate felt surprisingly calm considering what she was about to do. No, Faith didn't need a virus to rage. The rage had lived inside of her all along and if it came out it would be because she wanted it to. Two sharp knocks on Selene's door before she answered.
"Hey, we need to talk."
