Who: Castiel and Azazeal
What: Cas is worried about his brother
Where: The Inn
When: A couple of days ago while Castiel was staying in the Inn
Warnings: I doubt it
Much had happened in a few short days. Wasn't that the way of things? Azazeal had seen so many events in his many years as an angel and as a member of the fallen and it seemed that many times all would collide together and occur at once rather than spacing out over months or years at a time. The ghosts and the restoration were hardly the most game-changing he had witnessed, but bigger than some he had witnessed in recent days.
Days passed after the ghosts left, after Cassie left, and he remained quiet regarding what had happened. Malachi did not wish to speak of it anymore than he had, but he also knew that seeing Cassie was harder on his son than it had been on him. She'd been stripped away from him when he was far too young and had never had the chance to truly know or remember her. They both had come to terms with why she needed to help right the balance and take part in the spell to send all of the ghosts back, but it hadn't been any easier to say goodbye another time.
Not long after, Viktoria's friends and family had restored her from Strigoi to dhampir. Azazeal understood why they had done so and considering their reasons, he agreed that it was the best for her. She was continually concerned if she would slip and that would be the end of her resolve to remain controlled. Still, the Inn had become much more quiet since her group had left again for the prison and Azazeal found himself lost in his thoughts more then he once had. He hadn't been in Everett long before coming upon Viktoria by the charred remains of the church, so he was getting used to the solitude once more. Or as much solitude as he had with Malachi and the others there.
Castiel had requested to stay at the Inn for a few days and while Azazeal took no issue in his brother staying on, he wondered if there were ulterior motives for the visit. Not ones that conflicted with a higher or lower power as they often did, but more along more personal lines. He simply wasn't sure who had initiated it or if Castiel had done so himself. Regardless, the company wasn't minded although he wasn't likely to say so to anyone else or even admit as much to himself.
After preparing a bit of food for himself, Azazeal retired to the room he'd set up as his study and sipped at a cup of tea. Proper tea leaves were hard to come by these days, but he did treat himself to a cup here and there every now and again. A new presence entered the room not long after and Azazeal didn't need to look up to know Castiel had stepped inside the study.
"You may as well shut the door behind you," he said and motioned to the teapot with enough hot water for him to make himself a cup of tea if he wished.
