"Yes, you are right. The beauty is not gone. Not really. It just seems to be, most of the time, but you are right - it is simply harder to find."
The irony in both of their statements made a small soft chuckle escape his lips, and he took another sip of his tea. Many years ago it would have been hard to truly imagine that this would be possible, that he would be sitting and sipping tea with one of his fallen brothers, but too many things had happened for things to remain the way they were. Things that they had each dealt with, both directly and indirectly, and it was as if they had reached a place where their allegiances and employers seemed to be a minor detail in their life.
And it truly was, wasn't it? Ultimately, it was their bond as brothers that truly defined them now.
"The prison is a bit overwhelming at times," he admitted as he stirred the tea in his cup. Ever since he had been possessed, Castiel still wasn't sure how many people to truly approach. The shame that came with some of the actions he remembered made it a bit hard to publicly talk to everyone. Not that Castiel was the overly social type, anyway. "Trouble seems to follow both the Winchesters... I am doing my best to ensure they are safe, though. All of them, especially with Glorificus on the loose."
Reaching for the hot water to add more to his cup, he added almost casually, "I will also ensure Viktoria's safety, Brother. No harm will come to her if I can help it."
