Bella had spent the rest of the majority of the day contemplating the things Jake had told her over and over in her head. She still wanted to crack the reasoning behind why Embry and Leah made such a big deal about her being so different. She had a hunch but she would never let herslef be that hopeful.

As she started wandering down by the edges of the beach she noticed a girl up ahead. It must be a new arrival, Bella thought. She figured she should go and try to be nice and ease the poor girl into what she had walked into by chance.

"Hey!" she called once she was in yelling distance of the girl.

Why: Exploration have never been Gabriel's strong side, but not having anyone to talk to besides Elle (even though that was his own fault) had forced him to go out on his own, and stumbled, literally across caves.

Gabriel hadn't been trying to make friends, no matter how hard Elle tried to push him out to meet others. He didn't like meeting others. It was why in his normal life it was just him, but he was happy with that. As long as he kept to himself, then he wouldn't get hurt, despite the fact that it hurt to be frozen out the way he was.

However, the fact that he was on his own for the most part gave him time to explore and do things that he normally wouldn't, and the main thing of that was that he was pushed to do was going out in the jungle to find food and whatnot. That had lead to him, one day stumbling across a bunch of caves, and with the rain pouring the way that it had been, they might be a good thing.

He made his way over to Elle and poked her in the back, chewing on his lower lip.

"Elle? I need to show you something."

Rory had a hard time since Dean divorced his wife. So much seemed to have been hitting her all at once. Lindsay found her letter to Dean and it was slowly getting out in the open that they had sex and was the cause of much of what had happened between the couple. When she returned to her dorm room at Yale she was more than happy to see the four walls again. Even if it meant Paris was talking her ear off about Logan Huntzberger again. Rory got lucky that Paris needed to calm down and therefore went to her "crafts corner" to make some sort of dream catcher of sorts; so she got their room to herself. Closing the door behind her and throwing herself onto her bed she stared at the cieling trying to figure out what to do next. She went over to her bookshelf to pull out her copy of Great Expectations when a letter fell out of the book. Picking it up and reading it she thought it was perhaps some stupid joke Paris was pulling. Annoyed she got up off her bed to go ask what was up with the letter, when one hand on the door handle and she blinked.

Rory landed on the warm sand with the bright sun shining down on her. Quickly glancing around, it did not take her long to realize she was not in her dorm room anymore. "Hello?" she yelled, slowly getting a little nervous. "Oh no..." she held up her hand to the bright sun and began scanning the shore for a way out.

River ran as fast as she could. True it didn't take too much to outrun Simon but she still didn't want him to catch her. She hated it when he gave her injections to setle her, force her to remember. He had to know she was dreaming about The Academy more and more lately. Her nights were already plagued by the memories; why must her days be plagued as well? River climbed over the end table and up the stairs to the main deck of the ship. She had a decent head start but could still hear him calling after her. She ran out into the cross way that lead into the main cargo area. Jumping down the stairs she let herself fall to the ground and slide across the floor over to the right wall. She pushed and pulled until a piece of the siding had pulled away from the rest of the wall. She had often seen Mal and Jayne load up some of the goods there to hide from the feds. She quickly crawled in and pulled the wall back into place. As she sat in the darkness her hand brushed something. Could it be paper? River was confused, she was sure that there was nothing in there when she climbed in. River listened closely to Simon as his footsteps faded away. He was giving up. She pushed open a crack of the wall and looked down at the paper. Reading it over River knew it was going to be inevitable. She couldn't prevent herself from blinking.

What little bit of light shined into her hiding place quickly disapeared and was replaced by a sunset on a beach. River was barefoot in the sand and bent down to touch it. It was real. The change of scenary had not fully set in until she striaghtened back up and looked over at the sunset.
