Take shelter
Who: Spencer Reid & Kenzi
When: Tuesday afternoon
What: Spencer explores the town, tries to find the library
Where: Outside the Sleepy Hollow to wherever
Warnings: TBD
Status: In-Progress
The warnings Reid had been given from other residents in the town was enough that the doctor knew it was best to follow their advice. They were "pros" in the sense that they were familiar with this place, and they obviously knew more than he did. Quite frankly the entire situation was disconcerting and odd and just messed up in general. He stood outside of the Sleepy Hollow Inn with his satchel in tow. He didn't have any other possessions other than that, and he didn't dare take anything from the hotel.
He breathed in the fresh, though slightly dreary, air. Reid was no stranger to the darker aspects of the world, or of humanity. He's actively worked against the depraved, been a victim to it, survived it, and continued on his path with the BAU. But he's never encountered anything quite like this before. This was going into something completely illogical, embedded in the occult while still crossing over into the realm of physics with pocket universes and different realities. It was a lot to take in, even for a genius like Spencer.
Another deep breath filled his lungs, and he started to make his way through the town. Spencer followed the map that was given to him in his room, the only thought in his mind was finding the library. The only way he'd be able to make sense of any of this, of the situation, of the town, would be to read as much as he could. Absorb the knowledge, and use that for his own survival. And that was what he was doing, wasn't it? Surviving? He had to without the rest of his team there with him. Honestly, Reid wasn't sure what he would do without them, and that was scary.
So lost in his thoughts that he barely noticed the person he bumped into. It was jarring, and it made his sunglasses go askew on his face.
"Sorry about that," he muttered as he straightened them. "I was uh, lost in thought in seems."
