It wasn't as if they were ever going to suddenly feel settled, or sure of themselves or even properly like it here without loved ones and family -- however, they always had the choice to make the most of a creepy, haunted, ghoulish town that was constantly trying find new and completely unpredictable ways to kill or hurt them. If anyone was going to make sure she did that it would be Leslie, of course Jemma's enthusiasm for the clinic helped a lot too. Even on the worst days in this place, there was an opportunity to do things for the good of the other people here, Ann was lucky enough to have the one person in the world, that was incredibly, and almost to kindly capable of never letting her forget that by her side. Equally Ann would do her best to help Leslie stay somewhere between having purpose and throwing herself in a work-related, sugar fulled mania. Keeping busy helped, not stopping - that was bad.
Plus, knowing this world, even if it was now split into ..two sort of, they’d need somewhere that wasn't a pile of dinosaur ruined rubble to look after people when inevitably they were injured in whatever the next weird, or dangerous thing appeared. Even better, they’d been upgraded on the last makeshift clinic and wasn't as if the walls were all bloody and gross, or it was full of giant spiders or snakes - sure, the hospital did have a super eerie quality to it from the look around that she’d had, and it was .. more than a little disconcertingly quiet, but still that’s because it wasn't filled with staff and sick people. It would never be, and that was kinda a good thing?
Ann sat on a bench by the entrance, waiting until she caught sight of her closest friend to hop up and meet her. "Hey" She grinned wrapping her arms around her in a brief hug, so perhaps they shared and house and saw each other most hours of the day already, but dammit she’d be excited about this, even if in part it was for Leslie's benefit too. "So, we've got actual workplaces again- it's kinda strange, right?" She’d insist on a tour of the Parks Department next, she’d already offered to help out whenever and however she could there. "I haven’t seen it all yet, of course. But already it’s so much better than what we had at that crappy clinic, you definitely need a tour-" Then there was the reality of this world had to be addressed, also why she'd wanted Leslie here. "-and I kinda thought it was better.. maybe not to explore it alone."
