"I think we’ll remember.” Ann agreed slowly, implying that it was hard to forget the level of creepy this place was showing them. Then, as if this building had the ability to listen suddenly there was a flooding light, making Ann wince slightly to the brightness ahead. “Ooor maybe not.” She half-grumbled, because really, she was 100% done with this whole thing. The continued creep out really wasn’t necessary, now was it? Hadn’t they been shaken up quite enough already? But hey, more light was good, right?
Ann wrinkled her nose with a sheepish sort of expression, feeling belatedly apologetic about her terrible story; especially now she had the images in her head. She stood slightly frozen as she always was by Leslie’s creative, but always unexpectedly perplexing compliment-reassurance things, and just let her cheek be ..stroked. Leslie’s warmth knew no bounds, and for Ann there was no way not to be slightly awkward when it came to accepting it - in whatever form it came. “Yeah. Well the nearest one anyway- who knows if there are even proper wards.” But she assumed, from what had been said was there. Ann grinned back as she briefly squeezed Leslie’s arm close to her, to bolster their confidence.
This confidence was short-lived; a sound like claws, or nails scraping along walls echoed past Ann, and suddenly she felt a cold touch clamping down on her shoulder, she yelped out half-colliding with her dearest friend, without really meaning to. “I swear something ..just touched my shoulder-” She hissed at Leslie in a slightly higher-pitch not really sure why she was suddenly half-whispering either with a wide-eyed glance thrown over her shoulder.
