Who: Penelope Clearwater, Ainsleigh MacFusty, and Orsino Thruston
When: Saturday afternoon
Where: Penny and Oliver's flat
What: Penny and Ainsleigh are having girltime, and get an unexpected visitor.  Antics ensue.
Rating: PG?
Open/Closed: Closed (Unless Oliver wants to show up, too?)

It was not usual for Orsino to just show up at other people's homes unannounced or otherwise unexpected.  Given that Donaghan had done the very same to him only last week made him feel even more strangely about it than usual.  The fact remained, however, that he'd been dreadfully bored this Saturday.  He'd brought Seven out with him on an errand or two, including to pick up lunch, but when he'd gotten back to his flat he was still feeling antsy and restless.  Maybe he was beginning to feel the fact that they hadn't toured in a while.  In any case, and though it didn't happen often, Orsino didn't feel like holing up in his flat for the rest of the day with one of his projects.

The idea of maybe going over to Penny's and seeing what she was up to occurred to him.  It seemed unlikely that she was as bored as he was, as she always seemed to be doing something.  Before he had time to change his mind and think that it was probably rather rude and not very like him anyway, he'd apparated to the proper spot and walked the short distance to the front door.  Rolling his eyes at how stupid this was, he reached forward and knocked twice.

Penny stared at her friend open-mouthed. She couldn't answer a question like that - or any question about the possibility of tall good looking men with Orsino in the room.

"I ah- erm, Italy's full of culture. But erm, sure, " she picked up her bottle only to remember too late that it was empty and she set it down again with a small clunk "Lots of museums. Meghan could come too. She likes museums."

Orsino chuckled at Leigh's request, thinking that it wasn't too far off the mark anyway. Hadn't one of them given her something like that for Christmas? Maybe she hadn't used it yet. Though he figured they couldn't supply the good looking Italians - she'd have to do that herself.

The fact that Penny suddenly seemed nervous, or at least that seemed to be the case when she suddenly became inexplicably tongue-tied, made him feel a little bit smug. It was rare her got to see her out of top form, verbally speaking.

"Is culture and museums code for good wine and rich Italian Stallions?"

"If Meghan came with, we totally wouldn't be hanging out in museums the entire time." Leigh pointed out, small smile on her face on how tongue-tied Penny had just gotten.

She wouldn't tease her friend any about it. At least not in front of Orsino. "No, she means culture and museums."

She knew when she was being picked on and teased ; and right now Orsino was doing just that.

"I'm a fan of culture and museums," she said determindly "And red wine."

Though Orsino could get a lot of enjoyment out of some good-natured teasing, he also knew that it could become tiresome to be on the wrong end of it. Leigh's tone had implied as much. Sensing that it might be a bit unnecessary to continue on in that vein he began eating the third frog and gave them both an apologetic look.

"Hm. I go more for Chardonnay, myself, but reds can be good, depending on what you're eating with them."

This was another thing Leigh wasn't all that good with. Wines and champagnes. In her family you just had a pint and that attitude (if she was drinking which wasn't all that often) is what persisted for her.

"There's one thing I know. My tastes... The darker the better."

"I don't have a favourite type of wine. Mostly I stand in front of the display and pick the bottle with the most intruiging label. And language. Anything with the words 'flowery' and 'robust' and I'm hooked."

At the mention of food, she rolled up her wrapped and slid it into the pocket of her jeans with an arch of her hips.

"I never really got the appeal in spending hundreds of pounds on a bottle of wine you can't drink. I think I spent two galleons on a bottle once. That was a very special occasion."

"That's true. I've gotten to try all sorts of wines but I still couldn't really tell you much more than that I like white ones, and half the time the cheaper ones have been more enjoyable."

Not all the time, of course. There had been a few occasions in which he'd been that guy dropping a few hundred on a single bottle - but at the very least he had gone on to drink it, and enjoy it quite a lot.

"The drier the better, in my opinion."

"Well it is the one good thing about traveling everywhere. You try everything." WHich was true. She knew she hated ouzo after a night in Greece. She'd only needed one drink.

"You should get a map and do a country-by-country map of places you've drunk. But only if its a speciality; drinking tennants in every country isn't expanding horizons."

She was confused by Orsinos declaration of preffering dry wines. Penny had never managed to get her head around how something could be a liquid and still described as 'dry'. It was two very opposing ideas together.

"I have a map and colour coded pushpins."

It was a funny idea but Orsino rather liked it. For a while after the band really took off and started doing more traveling he'd kept records of the places and foods he'd especially enjoyed and like to go back to. That had only gone on for a year or so, though, before he stopped bothering.

"Between what Leigh and I can remember it's probably be a bit alarming after a while."

"I don't drink much on tour." She said quickly. "Once in Prague I got food poisoning and was in hospital for three days, and they were three hours late to a concert in Moscow because repeated verbal and written reminders that the portkey was the umbrella on the fireplace mantle didn't get through. I don't want to know what would happen if I was drunk or hungover."

"We're going on holiday then," Penny said quickly "You can let your hair down with us and we can have schedules with corresponding maps for things we should do!"

She didn't understand how Leigh could do her job sometimes and still remain sane. What she needed was a cattle prod. A giant one.

"I don't think I've ever seen you hungover. You're very professional. I'm at my alcohol limit for this month. But I could make an exception for you guys."

And if Orsino and Leigh were going to stick around, she was going to ensure there was plenty of food and maps.

"Leigh is a perfect angel, all the time," Orsino said matter-of-factly.

He felt sure that if he had Leigh's job, he'd be drinking all the time, if only to cope with having to keep eight young musicians out of trouble. It was hard for him not to appreciate what she did for them.

"I've only had water since I've gotten here, now that you bring that up. Did I happen to see a beer earlier?"

"Damn straight." Leigh said attempting to look perfectly angelic.

She wasn't sure why her job didn't lead her to alcoholism, especially considering the fact that it was probably a two person job, but the various times she'd had a second THAT was when she'd wanted to drink. Normally they were vapid brats who thought they were just getting close the band.

"Sure, why not. Make it two."

"Hey Leigh," Penny called as she slipped off the couch to pad through to the kitchen "You're halos crooked."

She returned a few moments later with an oversized bag of crisps and two bottles of beer. The third bottle was pumpkin juice for herself which she took and prised the top off before letting the opened fall back onto the table.

"Sewena," she said in toast to them both.

Orsino reached over Leigh's head, motioning as if straightening her crooked halo.

"All better," he observed, taking the bottle and popping the top off. He raised it slightly. "Hm...salud."

After drinking some, he set it down on the table, determined not to down it too quickly. He remembered all too well what had happened the last time he'd had too much to drink here. Not that a redux was not an idea he found appealing, he didn't think Leigh would appreciate it.

"Just pumpkin juice? Going to let just Leigh and I drink like grown-ups?"
