Who: Fred and Angelina
What: Catching Up, talking about Brilliance!
Where: WWW
When: Today
Rating/Warning: TBA

Fred was minding the shop while George was off getting the last things ready and hiring a few of the magical contractors for the ship in Hogsmeade. Now that they'd gone over everything, all that was left to do was actually build it, which wasn't that big of a thing, honest, since most of it could be done with charms. Still, it left them a man down again at the shop, with Verity doing inventory, and he wondered what they'd do when they were splitting their time between two shops and Lee's project.

When the bell rang, he couldn't even go down the stairs to greet whoever it was. It had been a slow day, but even a slow day in the WWW was busier than a lot of shops in the Alley these days.

Fred looked up at her, almost confused. "Not talking?" And then he snorted. "Oh, George and me? He's only not talking to me when he remembers not to, and you know how shite his memory is. Besides, we're working on things, so he has to talk to me." Fred didn't seem too bothered by their fight.

"I know." She had a feeling it was something like that anyway. Fred and George, Merlin love them, had the attention span of knats. They'd just forget they were mad fast. Fred didn't seem too bothered, but Angelina smiled. "He'll get the hell over it. So besides the shop... what else is up?"

Fred shrugged, and left his head in her lap for a few moments more - just for good measure, because she was comfortable and smelled nice and it got the few patrons around the counter turning their heads and snickering. Good for his reputation. Then he straightened and shrugged again.

"Just the shop in Hogsmeade. Almost ready to go up. Oh, and the fact that Lee's brilliant..." He looked around, but he'd have to wait until they were alone to really talk about that.

She shook her head with a bit of a proud smile on her face, though she'd bitterly deny it later. "You two idiots are a chain. Good for you." And that was something to be proud of them for, and to go and celebrate.

"Oh I'd heard something about him brilliant, and that's why I'm here. I'd never come to just visit." She joked watching as a small kid brought up a purchase.

"Right, never except every time you get bored so that we'd be able to recognize the shape of your ass worn into any piece of wood," Fred answered, and looked around again. "Hang on..." And he disappeared to the back just as suddenly to tell Verity to come up and mind the register for a bit. When he came back with her, it was just far enough to nod to her that she should come back to the store room with him.

"Only when I'm bored." Which by the look of things was all the bloody time. She hopped off the counter and followed him into the back of the store. Once the door was shut she smiled. "See always knew Lee was just a hair more brilliant than you. What's up?"

"If he was more brilliant than we were, he'd be able to do it by himself," Fred answered with a grin as he closed the door to the stock room and locked and charmed it.

"Okay, so, read anything good in the Prophet lately?"

"Fuck no." She said with a pronounced eye roll. She did still get the prophet. Although she tended to flip straight to the sports section. "Well outside of this hilarious personal ad in the classifieds of course."

"Bloke looking for a woman with dragon pox scars?" Fred snapped his fingers, grinning and sitting down on a crate. "I saw that one!"

"That was it. Of all the damn fetishes." She said with a laugh, parking herself near a table, not sitting on it, but more leaning on it with her arms crossed across her. "What's the deal?"

"Well, the Prophet's shite, right? All dragon pox fetish blokes and Death Eater sympathizers. Whatever the editor's doing, he's doing it with the Ministry's wand up his ass, yeah?" Fred fidgeted a little on the crate as it started to move - he couldn't remember exactly what was in that one...

"And the Quibbler posts things that are decent, but alongside the proof of alien invasions and the like."

"Exactly, and no one bloody believes the decent stuff, because Lovegood sticks it right next to batboy and the alien invasions." She agreed with a nod. "It's shite."

Fred's eyebrows cocked up. "Batboy was shite? But they had pictures with the webbed arms and diagrams of the sonar and all..." But he shrugged it off, smacking the side of his crate hard to get whatever was moving around in there to stop. It seemed to work.

"Right. So, if you want to get news, real news, now, you've got to have something sane, that the Ministry can't get their claws in, right?"

She blinked at Fred for a moment a bit stupidly. "Oh even you don't believe in batboy." She said rolling her eyes.

But no, they had important things to discuss. "I'm guessing that Lee in all his brilliance came up with the perfect way to do this."

"Well, Lee came up with the idea, and George and I came up with how to pull it off...." Fred paused for effect, then took a breath and said, very seriously, "Radio."

"Radio? No throwing newletters off of rooftops then?" She said with a smile. Because seriously... "Isn't the wireless traceable."

"Not if you can charm the signal," Fred waved his hand. "It's complicated. Took George and I three weeks just to figure out how to do it. But if we piggyback our signal on the real WWN signal, it'll work. Just have to change our channel every time..."

"Well... shit." She said looking mildly impressed. She knew the twins were smart, but once in a while they did something so amazing that reminded her just how smart they really were. "So when do we start?"

"Soon as the shop's up in Hogsmeade," Fred answered, then he looked down at his feet for a second. "Not telling everyone in the Order about it, yet. I'm hoping we can report on Harry and them, figure out a system through the radio for keeping them safe while they're off running."
