Out for a date; hope the Gryffs don't tear it up while he's gone.
Who: Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbott
When: Saturday night, 8ish
Where: Hannah's Flat, then Waterstones Books, and the 606 club for jazz in Chelsea
What: Neville wants to take Hannah out on a date.
Rating: Definitely adult NC-17 beware!
Open/Closed: Closed, complete

He had already had to delay his date with Hannah.  The Gryffindors had decided that last Saturday would be a great day to hold a party...in one of the classrooms.  After a dozen of detentions were issued, and a long lecture with the prefects, Neville had not finished up until well into the night, causing him to postpone with Hannah.  It had put him in a foul mood, and the next day, he'd doubled the detentions, extending the reach for punishment and costing his own house more points.  It killed him, but he had the crew serving detention every day that week, and all day Saturday.  He had not seen any heads together, planning for another 'gathering' so he thought he'd be safe to slip out on Saturday.  He waited until after dinner, having given Snape a note that he'd be going out for the evening.  He had decided that he could risk it, and after dressing in an Irish knit blue sweater, slacks, boots, Neville had grabbed his robe, and left the school; his plan was to leave the grounds and then apparate to a flower shop, and then apparate to her place

It all went as planned, and Neville had a bouquet of red roses shortly, catching the shop just before it closed.  The scent from the flowers was heavy, and he held them under his cloak, out of the damp as he sent himself into the dizzying apparation.  He arrived near her place, and made his way in and up to her flat, arriving at her door, full of anticipation.  Until that moment he'd be so busy just getting there that as he walked the steps to her flat, he felt himself growing more and more nervous.  It had been ages since he'd seen her.  He only had his memories and his night dreams of her to cling to; he hoped he hadn't misinterpreted their previous communications.

He took a deep breath, and knocked lightly at the door, the flowers in his hand, his free one smoothing back his hair.  He chewed on the corner of his lip, swallowed hard and knocked again, hoping she hadn't forgotten.

Hannah loved his kisses. He was a very good kisser, an idle part of her wondered where he'd gotten the practice. She smiled though and felt warm inside. She hadn't even felt as cherished and wanted with Marcus and she'd made a child with him. She slipped her arms around his neck and her mouth moved long and slow with his own. She didn't care that they were in the shadows. She was just enjoying his kisses after so damn long.

A slow easy pace of exploring each other's mouths was set, his tongue intertwined with hers as he held her close. He hadn't kissed anyone in so long; her lips were all he had wanted for as long as he could remember. And it was sheer snogging, utter bliss for him in that pose with her, her body soft and warm and supple in his arms.

After what seemed far too soon, Neville pulled back, his breath coming short at first, "If we don't go, I'm going to take you up on that telli offer and snog with you all night," he warned, a note of seriousness in his voice, "Miss Abbott, you do like dancing, don't you?" he asked, teasing her with his mock sternness, arms about her.

And before she could answer, he held her tightly and apparated them, to Chelsea, to a small alley he knew of from his days of work and wandering about London. It was dark, and there was a smell of Chinese food about them as they stopped spinning in that moment. The spot was only blocks form the club.

It was that gut wrenching twist as he apparated them away. She tried to regain her balance once they arrived in Chelsea, "Well to be completely honest, I've a bit of two left feet, so I can't say that I like dancing too much, or at least my partners don't seem to enjoy it without sore feet at the end of the evening." she admitted.

He held her until they both seemed more stable, and then led her out of the alley into the light. The street was busy, with people laughing and talking and walking by. His arm was still about her.

"Well, I did work on my dancing skills, back in 3rd year. And I have tough feet. So I am guessing we are the perfect match," he added with a smile, "No need to fret. The music should be good. I've heard this it the place to go to," he added as he pointed at a marque just up the block. There were stairs leading down into the infamous jazz joint.

She heard the music pouring from every cranny of the place as they came down the block. She stayed close to him, her arm resting on his lower back as they walked, "I trust your judgment, Neville." she chuckled as they got into line to get into 'the' place. She felt like it was going to be fun, even if she did embarrass herself a little bit.

"You do? I hope it's not misplaced trust," he said, grinning as he led them down the steps. There was a girl at the door who gave Neville's cloak an odd look as she took it. Neville didn't catch the look; he was more concerned at how Hannah was reacting to things.

They were at the door, and he spied a spot in the back. Putting his hand into hers, he wove them through the crowd to take a seat in the corner on a small overstuffed couch. It was a bit small for both of them, but there was no other empty chair and Neville liked the notion of snuggling with her. He offered her the choice of seat and paused to take off his sweater. He slid in next to her, his arm going behind her as he encouraged her to lean into him. The music was loud, and he put his mouth to her ear so that she could hear him.

"I think this will work. You want something to drink or should we just go dance?"

It was loud and crowded, but it seemed like a lot of fun. She felt the adreneline pumping through her as they moved to the back of the room. She sat down with him and snuggled into him. It was warm from all the bodies in the place, but that was okay. She liked snuggling with him. He was so strong and it reminded her that she was a woman with needs. "Maybe we should spare your toes and just enjoy the music?"

Neville found his one foot tapping to the beat and he tore his eyes away from Hannah to glance about. A waiter came over, smiling at the two of them, "What can I can I get you? Wine or maybe champagne? You look like you are celebrating," he observed. Neville glanced at Hannah, his eyebrows raised questioningly, "Champagne sounds kind of nice. Is that okay?"

"Champagne would be wonderful." she said with a smile to him, "I really do like champagne." she added, when he looked a little questioning.
