"You do? I hope it's not misplaced trust," he said, grinning as he led them down the steps. There was a girl at the door who gave Neville's cloak an odd look as she took it. Neville didn't catch the look; he was more concerned at how Hannah was reacting to things.
They were at the door, and he spied a spot in the back. Putting his hand into hers, he wove them through the crowd to take a seat in the corner on a small overstuffed couch. It was a bit small for both of them, but there was no other empty chair and Neville liked the notion of snuggling with her. He offered her the choice of seat and paused to take off his sweater. He slid in next to her, his arm going behind her as he encouraged her to lean into him. The music was loud, and he put his mouth to her ear so that she could hear him.
"I think this will work. You want something to drink or should we just go dance?"
