Out for a date; hope the Gryffs don't tear it up while he's gone.
Who: Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbott
When: Saturday night, 8ish
Where: Hannah's Flat, then Waterstones Books, and the 606 club for jazz in Chelsea
What: Neville wants to take Hannah out on a date.
Rating: Definitely adult NC-17 beware!

He had already had to delay his date with Hannah.  The Gryffindors had decided that last Saturday would be a great day to hold a party...in one of the classrooms.  After a dozen of detentions were issued, and a long lecture with the prefects, Neville had not finished up until well into the night, causing him to postpone with Hannah.  It had put him in a foul mood, and the next day, he'd doubled the detentions, extending the reach for punishment and costing his own house more points.  It killed him, but he had the crew serving detention every day that week, and all day Saturday.  He had not seen any heads together, planning for another 'gathering' so he thought he'd be safe to slip out on Saturday.  He waited until after dinner, having given Snape a note that he'd be going out for the evening.  He had decided that he could risk it, and after dressing in an Irish knit blue sweater, slacks, boots, Neville had grabbed his robe, and left the school; his plan was to leave the grounds and then apparate to a flower shop, and then apparate to her place

It all went as planned, and Neville had a bouquet of red roses shortly, catching the shop just before it closed.  The scent from the flowers was heavy, and he held them under his cloak, out of the damp as he sent himself into the dizzying apparation.  He arrived near her place, and made his way in and up to her flat, arriving at her door, full of anticipation.  Until that moment he'd be so busy just getting there that as he walked the steps to her flat, he felt himself growing more and more nervous.  It had been ages since he'd seen her.  He only had his memories and his night dreams of her to cling to; he hoped he hadn't misinterpreted their previous communications.

He took a deep breath, and knocked lightly at the door, the flowers in his hand, his free one smoothing back his hair.  He chewed on the corner of his lip, swallowed hard and knocked again, hoping she hadn't forgotten.

The postponed date had been a disappointment to Hannah, but she had managed, having excused her sitter for the night instead and taken Livey out for pizza and big girl time. She loved being able to spend time with her daughter. She had also been working on her business plan and had been wanting to show him the plans she'd come up with the week before. She was wearing the pink dress that she'd worn out for Megan's birthday since Megan had given it rave reviews. She felt flirty and feminine, yet all together put together.

He'd apologized profusely by owl and had rescheduled at least, so that didn't mean that he wasn't interested anymore. She got a thumbs up from the sitter, thankfully Livey was already in bed. It would be an easy night for the sitter at least. She heard the knock on the door and a hungarian horntail seemed to sprout to life in her stomach. She hurriedly grabbed her purse and shawl. She didn't want him to wake up the baby, so she hurried for the door and opened it. Her hair was down and curled around her face. She put her finger up to her lips to shhh him before closing the door quickly behind her as she stepped out into the hallway.

"We just got Livey to sleep." she explained once the door was closed.

"Oh. Sure. Yes, of course," he said, lowering his voice with every word. He was nervous, and he held the roses out to her.

"For you," he whispered, not sure if he should still be so quiet, now that the door was closed. He handed them to her and then leaned in, awkwardly, to sort of half hug and half kiss her cheek. He flushed and gave a weak chuckle, "I guess I should wait out here maybe," he said, after she had the flowers in her hand.

"No, I just didn't want you knocking too loudly and waking her up, you can come in, but we have to be quiet. She's still upset that I didn't take her to Megan's birthday party on Monday night." she said with a smile, taking the flowers. He was a little awkward, did that mean that he didn't want to be there? She watched his face for a long moment and tucked her hair behind her ear, "Do you want to?"

"Oh. Oh, okay," he said as he understood what she had meant. He nodded, "Sure, I'd love to come in," he said, ready to follow her. But something made him reach out to her before she opened the door, and he stepped closer to her, one hand over her hand on the door nob, with one hand reaching up to caress her cheek.

"I think I better try again," he said even as he moved his face closer to hers, "Hello. You look amazing, Hannah," he said, a smile teasing his lips up as he looked into her face, leaning in to kiss her properly, on the lips.

She looked up at him as his hand covered hers, keeping her from opening the door. She blushed slightly as his hand stroked her cheek. He liked the dress, that sent flutters through her stomach again. She smiled softly, "Megan thought you would like it." she mumbled before his mouth took her own. She leaned against the door slightly for support as her mouth moved with his. She'd been dreaming of his kisses for weeks and this one left her all wobbley.

"Much better greeting." she rewarded him as he finally pulled away.

He turned to the waiter, nodding, and then back to her as he left to get them a bottle, "I wasn't sure. It does feel like a celebration though," he said, leaning in so that she could hear him, "And how about we drink a bit and have at least one dance, hm?" he asked, leaning back so he could see her face. He turned his head so that she could speak into his ear.

"It's your toes that will suffer, but I'll oblige you if that is what you really want." she replied with a small smile before pressing a light kiss to his ear, "Maybe I dance better when I'm toasted."

He gave a low chuckle and moved to look in her face, "You can't be that bad!" he added, even as the champagne arrived. The cork was popped, and she was handed a glass as was he. He raised the glass to tap against hers lightly, "To us," he said, coloring slightly before he took a long drink from the glass. It wasn't empty but he didn't like letting go of her hand, even to hold his glass so he drank more, emptying it and setting it down on the low table in front of it. He watched as she drank, and when she seemed to pause, he accepted her glass from her and set it down next to his.

He turned to her, his hand once more cupping her face, and he leaned in to kiss her deeply, the champagne taste on his tongue and hers as well. He pulled back after a long moment, smiling, "To us," and he reached for her glass, ready to give it back to her.

She didn't drink her champagne nearly as quickly as he drank his. She just sipped at it, savoring the sweet sharp taste. She watched the people on the dancefloor, enjoying the smooth tones of the music. The toast was simple, but his lumping them together into an 'us' just made her giddy. She giggled when he kissed her though, god he tasted so good.

"To us and to tonight." she said with a smile, rubbing her nose against his.

They were barely moving, swaying from side to side on still feet, their mouths locked together. His one hand had slid up her back, with his fingers tangling in her hair as his other stayed at the center of her back, pulling her closer. He didn't want to end it, lost in her tastes and the feel of her solid and pressing against him. But for as much as he wanted it to go on for ages, the music came to a close, with the crowd clapping and hooting around them. Neville pulled back, surprised that what had seemed only moments had in fact been minutes. He looked down at her, and found his face flushed, his want for someone never having felt so acute, "I don't know if that counts as dancing," he said, his hand sliding out of her hair to meet his other at the back of her waist. His eyes searched her, "Should we try another one?" and a thought, one that had been sparked by her comment came to mind, "Hannah? Or we can go..?" There was a hopeful note there; he wanted to spend the evening in her arms, like this, and hear about her time apart from him.

Hannah was a little foggy as he pulled back from the kiss. Her face was flushed and she slowly blinked herself back to reality, hearing the hoots and claps. She buried her face into his chest out of embarrassment. She wasn't huge on PDA, but she supposed that he just stole that out of her. It didn't matter as long as it was him that she was showing affection to. "We should go." she mumbled, but he probably wouldn't hear her against his chest or over the music.

Neville heard her say something, but he couldn't understand what she'd said because of the noise, "What?" he said, bending down so that he could hear her better. But with a faster louder song coming on, and her head buried into his chest, Neville wasn't sure what she'd said. He glanced about, slightly shocked at just how many people were around them, now dancing wildly. With one arm around her, he lead her back to their table, back to their seat. His face was glowing red; he couldn't believe he'd snogged with her like that, in front of all to see. He released her, and reached down to pour more champagne into their glasses. His eyes were intent, his face still flushed as he slipped into the seat next to her again. His arm went behind her and he held the glass, not really interested in drinking it but wanting like mad to kiss her again, "That was...brilliant," he said, leaning in so that she could indeed hear him. His face was bent down, close to hers, and he said in a low voice, "I want to kiss you again, Hannah Abbott, very much so," he said, with his heart racing, the glass in his hand almost trembling from the energy that ran through his veins.

Hannah blushed brightly as he led her away from the dance floor before they got squished. She did a little more then sip on the champagne that he handed to her. She drank about half the glass in one gulp to steady her nerves. She cared about Neville, but she was a little embarrassed by the clapping. She snuggled into him and listened to her, "I don't think we should here, we might set the place on fire." she mumbled, feeling so warm.

He found the chuckle shaking his chest slightly as he tried to not laugh out loud at her words but he had to agree, "I think we should go then, " he said as he drank his glass down, feeling the bubbles in his nose and his throat, "Because I'm not going to hold back," and he leaned in and caught her mouth again. This time, the kiss had more need to it, more fire as she put it, and his hand went to her shoulder. He had meant to ask her more about her business plan, how her job was going, how Livey was doing. Hell, he even wanted to hear about her dad, and what she'd been cooking. He wanted to hear all of it, but the need to be close to her clouded his thinking and he crushed his mouth to hers without reservation. They were off, in a corner, at the edge of prying eyes but he wasn't even concerned about that. He was slightly tipsy and woozy but he knew what he'd been dreaming of; this was only the beginning of it.

Hannah finished her glass in a gulp and felt her head spinning a little and then he was kissing her again. She moaned softly in surrender as she sank into the warmth of his kiss. Her hand slipped into his hair as she leaned back against the little couch. She knew that it was silly to get so carried away with him, but he made it so very easy. Her tongue danced with his as she enjoyed his taste. She wanted him. She hadn't realized how much she wanted him.

She was leaning back, and he was leaning into her, the kissing so passionate and absorbing. He thought he heard a clearing of a voice, and he pulled back, dazed to find their waiter there, holding the bottle as he was ready to pour, "Would you care for another bottle?" Neville found his face flush; it had not been his intent to be so openly passionate with this woman, for all to see, to potential soil her reputation and her good name. He shook his head, having sat up and untangled himself from her. Their glasses were set down and he was saying, "Only the bill," he said, as he realized that once he stood, he might be exposing his want to her a bit. He rose, immediately adjusting his pants to mask what she had triggered in him, and he waited until she seemed ready to rise, "Let's go," he said, his face still flush from his racing heart. Her mouth was swollen and he reached his hand down, a thumb touching her lips, "I think I've bruised you a bit," he said sheepishly.

She reached her hand up to cover her mouth, hiding a soft gasp when the waiter came over. A hand tucked her tousled hair behind her ear and she moved to get up from where she was, straightening her dress. The poor waiter. She didn't feel bruised, she felt well-kissed. She turned her mouth to kiss the center of his palm.

That was not something had ever done to him, and Neville took in a quick breath at how intimate and arousing that sort of affection was. The waiter had returned, and Neville had to move his hand away from her, opening his bill fold to find the right paper money with which to pay. He thought he had the right amount; it would leave a sufficient tip, and he put it into the waiter's hand, satisfied by the surprised look he got in return. Neville turned from the man, holding out a hand to help Hannah up, and he was once again pleasantly surprised at how incredible she looked. "Let's get out of here," he said, her hand securely in his as they made their way to the cloak girl. He took his under his arm, and opened the door for her, out into the dark night. They hadn't been there for very long, and once at the top of the steps, Neville looked about as he tried to decide where they should go next, "I hate to just take you home so soon," he said, the cool air reviving him some from his snogging delirium, "I promised you a night out, even if I'd much rather a night in," he added.

Hannah slipped on her shawl once they got outside, it was significantly cooler out in the night air then it had been inside the jazz club. She gave him a smile, "Well I don't mind a night in either, Neville. You'll find that I don't require going out to be sufficiently romanced. I'm very simple in that regard. I'm as happy with a flower and dinner made at home as I am if we go out to a cinema."

She didn't want him to think that she was high maintenance. She wanted him to feel comfortable doing whatever he wanted. She wasn't going to be unimpressed.

"Well, truth be told, I rarely go out. The morning hours make it a slight challenge," he said, as he put her arm in his and began to walk towards the spot he'd apparated them to initially, "I have to say Hogwarts is making me a bit soft. I sleep in well until six which is two more hours than normal. It's been turning me into practically a night owl. But I have to be, you see. My charges are notorious at devising the most fiendish plans to occur in the wee hours of the morning," he said, talking now a bit more that they could hear each other. He felt utterly comfortable now, especially after being so close to her, so intimate in a way he'd only dreamed about. The notion of going home with her, and sitting on her own sofa and potentially continuing was beyond the scope of his dreams, "So, we can go back to your place. The sitter might be a bit surprised..," he added trailing off. He wasn't sure what to imagine might happen for the remainder of the evening; he found his pulse quickening at the random ideas that flittered through his mind and they made him blush again.

Hannah cuddled into his warmth, the little pink dress was figure flattering, but it did little for the warmth factor. She chuckled softly as he explained the antics of his students, "Well to be fair, it wasn't any different in our years at Hogwarts. Hermione petrified you first year so they could sneak out if I remember correctly, or was that second year?"

Neville gave a small chuckle but noticed her shiver. He paused, and chivalrously took his cloak from his arm to put around her shoulders, "That was 1st year, yes. But to be fair, knowing what I know now, those three were always out and about, doing things to battle him. That's a far cry from this lot who clogs toilets and decorates loos with paper, and decides to set up bashes in an empty classroom. That sort of behavior is just nonsense." Neville's tone had changed, and he looked ever bit the stern teacher, a Head of House in charge of his students. He realized that he'd gotten very serious suddenly, and he let his shoulders drop slightly, "It is a learning process for me. And can I let you in on a little secret?"

"Of course it's a learning process. You have to have trial and error to be a good teacher. Students are entirely the reason that McGonagall and Snape had the personalities that they do, but fear not, I won't let you become a curmudgeon." she giggled as she snuggled into his cloak. She rested her head on his shoulder, her brain fizzy with champagne bubbles, "Livey will be there one day."

"It is," he said, agreeing with her, "But when I have to get really tough with them, I pretend to be Snape. At least, as much of Snape as I can be. It's definitely a watered down version of him, but it is very effective. The students seem to be realizing that even if I am a nice guy, I am no chum," he said, nodding his head decisively. He enjoyed her snuggling, "Okay, no curmudgeon for me. Definitely not. And it will be at least what? Ten years or so before she's there," and he smiled, "You think I'll still be there by then? You flatter me," he said, grinning. They had reached the alley way where he had brought them, and he turned them into the darkness. His free hand slipped to his wand, ready to protect them should the need come about but there was nothing to fear. They were alone. "Ready?" he said, intent on apparating them to her apartment, "I can take us," he said, and a thrill went through him again, realizing that they were heading home, together, to her flat.

"Of course, apparate away. I have several movies at my house that we can watch." she said with a smile as she slipped her arms around his waist. She was glad that she had come out with him, even if she did feel a little bit drunk from the champagne. She was such a lightweight. She pressed her lips lightly to his pulse.

She almost undid him again with that feather light kiss. Neville leaned away from her, slightly apologetically, so that he could concentrate and then sent them spinning into apparation, to arrive just outside of her building in that corner spot under the trees in shadows. The sound was louder in the quiet, a reason he did not take them straight to her flat. He spoke, "Sorry about that. Your kiss was a bit distracting," he said, but he moved to her, his lips lightly kissing her own neck, "I wouldn't want to spiltch us," he added, speaking into her skin as he laid a few more kisses there before pulling back. "A movie? Well, that would be fun. I've not seen many, only a few at the show. Have you been to the show before?" and he looked slightly embarrassed, "I bet you've been to loads," he said, as his arm came round her as they walked slowly next to each other, strolling almost, "I think one was called...War Stars...no no, that's not right. It was really brilliant though. Loads of sort of magic in it. I do like the films, very much so," he added with a slight wistful tone, "But I'll admit again that I'm not much one for going out. Maybe we could go to one together, sometime?"

"Star Wars." she corrected him as she walked back towards the apartment with him, "Marcus was a fan of that set of movies, there are several of them actually." she said as her fingers laced with his, "I never really understood the premise to be honest, but what Muggles call science-fiction usually does confuse me."

"Star Wars," he said, repeating what Hannah had said. He moved up the steps with her, opening the door to allow her to enter and then following, "It was really creative. I saw another one, about time traveling and changing things in the past. That one was more of an American movie. It was quite funny," he said as they made their way to her place, "There are some really creative ideas out there. Not like Tales of the Beetle Bard. Not like those types of stories at all," he added, reflecting for a moment on his past and the story he would hear.

She gave him a small smile before she stepped into the apartment building, her apartment was on the second floor. She moved up the stairs ahead of him, but kept her fingers tangled with his own, leading him up the stairs. She didn't want him to leave or think that she was boring. She hoped that he wouldn't think that. She hadn't been able to get him out of her mind.

The view of her from behind was great, and Neville made Hannah pause on the mid level landing, standing above him by one step as he held her still. He found this teasing smile, and he pulled her to him slightly, until they were nose to nose, "Did I remember to tell you how much fun I've been having so far? You are so beautiful," he said, rubbing his nose against her's as they paused there. He was finding he really liked this, stopping her and kissing her just because. He'd missed her in an aching way, and this constant physical contact was doing things to his self-esteem, his heart and his mind, sending all three twisting and spiraling around he and her, like some sort of invisible unbreakable vow. He still held her hand and it was his turn to move her hand up, kissing the back of it lightly, "I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be, than right here with you, Hannah," he said slowly, honesty pouring forth from his heart.

She gave him the brightest smile that she had, a beautiful thing to behold in truth. She felt this warmth in the pit of her belly, filling her whole being. She reached up with her free hand and ran her fingers through the hair along his temple. "If Livey was here, it would be perfect." she agreed.

"She'd be begging for kisses as well I think," he said as he leaned into her caress, smiling at her. That look on her face made his breath catch and his mouth go dry, and he stepped up, into her, to kiss her on the landing. It was a nice long kiss, and when he pulled back, he looked so pleased, "It would be idyllically perfect if we had done this years ago. I hate thinking about the time we've wasted," he said, shaking his head slightly and thinking, in that moment, that it would be truly perfect if Livey was his little girl. The idea was startling and occurred so quickly, he barely had time to react before his mind shifted back to the mother, back to this gorgeous woman he had his arms wrapped about. He turned them, and this time, they moved up the stairs case, side by side until they reached her door, "And we arrive at where we began."

Hannah was amused by the idea, "Not the kind of kisses you give me." she chuckled before he was kissing her again, making her brain and loins go fuzzy and hot. She sighed his name as he pulled back and she was quite certain she must have moaned. He had a black magic mouth. It should be illegal. She pulled out her house key and opened the front door, giving him a small smile, leading him back into the apartment.

He followed behind her quietly, the apartment fairly quiet except for some noise that must have been from the telli. He stood, just inside of the living room, and glanced about, to see the flowers he'd brought set in a vase. Their perfume could easily be smelled in the room. He had never hired a sitter before, so he had no notion of what Hannah needed to do now. He started to pull off his sweater again, as he had done in the club. He wondered what the sitter would think: he knew his face was red, and he wondered if she would notice Hannah's well snogged mouth, "We're back. Did you have a good evening?" he said quietly, addressing the sitter.

Sarah might be a dowdy girl, but she wasn't stupid by any means. She offered them both a bright smile, but said nothing, it wasn't her place to judge and Hannah deserved to be happy in her opinion, "Well that is much earlier then I was expecting, should I hie off then?"

Hannah just gave her a small nod, "Give me a minute and I will get your wages, Sarah." Hannah said, finally de-tangling their fingers to move towards the kitchen where the flowers were on the table. She opened up her purse and counted out a rather generous sum for a babysitter, but Sarah was so good that she was worth every penny.

Sarah looked slightly surprised, "You are back so early," she commented and Neville gave a small shrug of his shoulders, leaving any explanation for Hannah to make. He watched as Hannah moved about her space, her shawl coming off as she busied herself. He moved out of the way, smiling as he let his eyes move with her. She got money out of her purse, and he noted the exchange between the sitter, who then gathered her things up in preparation to leave. Neville still stood, unsure as to what they would be doing next. He supposed watching a movie as she suggested, and he moved a small wave to the sitter as she readied to leave.

"We decided to have a night in." Hannah explained as she walked Sarah out with a small smile, "See you on Monday." Hannah loved her sitter like a younger sister, at least Sarah knew not to pry. Once she was sure that Sarah was safely down the stairs, Hannah closed and locked the front door. She turned to him and smiled as he looked so awkward, "Now, I have many movies, though many of them are cartoons for Livey." she explained, "I'm going to go check on her really quick and then we can pick a movie."

"Okay," he said, nodding as she made the suggestion. She left the room, leaving him alone to roam about the room, looking at the many pictures of she and Livey that adorned the space. There was a moving one of an older man with Livey, and Neville thought it must be her father. In all of the pictures, Livey was there, smiling or laughing or waving her hands about. He could only find a few of Hannah, but that made sense as she was probably the photographer. He looked at the toys in the toy box, squatting down to examine the different shapes and creatures there, curious about childrens toys, as curious about them as everything in the room.

Hannah slipped into her daughter's room, smiling slightly as she tucked the little girl's foot back up onto the trundle bed, scooting her over slightly so she didn't roll out of her bed. She smoothed her hair over the slightly sweaty curls and tucked the stuffed kitty back into her arms before leaning down to kiss that sweaty head. She checked her to make sure she wasn't running a fever before she cast a slight cooling charm on the room.

Neville was pulling out these oddly shaped forms until he realized that the bright orange and black plastic thing was a fish, as was the bright blue one. There was a little doll, in a green outfit with wings, and Neville recognized it as a type of fairy. It barely fit into the palm of his hand and he smiled at it, touching the small blond bun and the plastic hand. There were other dolls in the box, dressed in shiny yellow fabric, and with bright red hair. He wondered if all girls played with dolls like these, and he thought the tools he gave Livey were probably somewhere where she could use them in the dirt.

The little tools were outside in the locker in the yard. She came out of the room to see him squatted down there by the toy box, "I never figured that you were one to want to play with dolls, Neville." she teased him softly.

Neville looked up, and flushed slightly at being caught, "Well, she's definitely a girl. I expect she loves her dolls. It gives me ideas of things to get her someday," he said, rising as he held the little fairy doll still in his hand, "You even got her a fairy. The doll is far nicer than the real thing," he added, holding it out to Hannah.

"Yes, well Muggles have a much more idealized vision of fairies. That one is called Tinkerbell, she's a Disney character." she said as she moved over to him, "And yes, my daughter is most definitely a girl. You haven't even seen her dress up trousseau yet."

He gave a quiet laugh, "No, I have not. But she does have very nice clothes. They always...match," he said as his eyes lit up as she came closer. He wanted to reach for her again but thought she might be getting the whole movie thing set up. He'd seen it before in a friend's house, but thought it highly complicated. He wasn't as familiar with Muggle things, although they were curious to him, "So, should I sit down?"

"Yes, well I do try to match her, though sometimes she refuses, especially if she wants to wear her tutus." she chuckled as she watched him down there with her daughter's toys. She could see him sitting on the floor playing dolls with her. "Come on over to the couch and I'll pick out a movie for us.'

He nodded, and placed the doll back into the toy box, pausing for a moment to pick up the blue fish, "Is this fish a toy as well?" he asked, carrying it with him to the couch as he looked at it, examining the texture of it, seeing the bright smile painted on it, "And really Hannah, whatever movie you want is great with me. I've seen so few of them," he apologized as he took a seat. He realized that he still had his boots on, and he rose, "Let me take these off," he said, to take a seat by the fireplace as he slipped out of them. Satisfied that he wouldn't be tracking dirt all over her place, he went back to take his seat in his socks, looking at the toy still in his hands.

"Yes, it's a bath toy." she said with a small smile, you wind it up and then when you put it in the water, it swims around." she explained as she opened up a cabinet by the small telly, pulling out a couple of movies, looking over them before deciding on a romantic comedy that wouldn't require much concentration just in case they fell asleep or got distracted

"A bath toy? How brilliant!" he said, anew-ed interest in the small item. He did what she said, turning the nob and watched as the flipper part of Dora moved back and forth, "Muggles think of everything. I never played with anything like that in the tub," he said, and then he flushed slightly, "I had little wooden boats and things that floated. Grandad woud make them sail about," he said, growing quiet as he remembered, "He was great, my Grandad. Like your father is, I expect with Livey."

She smiled a little bit, "My father does his best, but it's hard for him." she said, quietly, "I think she makes him think about my mum, she looks like her, you know. And they always talked about how they'd be old with grandchildren running around and now he's alone, so it's hard on him."

Neville nodded, "My Gran..she rarely talks about my Grandad. I know when he passed, it hit her hard. It really left her alone, utterly so," and he grew quiet, waiting for her to come and sit with him, "I think Livey is lucky to have him, and to have you of course," he added with a sweet smile.

She looked at him for a long moment and smiled slightly, "I am sure that he loves her and I do my best." she said with a smile to him, "You're very good with her, by the way."

Neville colored slightly, "I'm okay with her. She's not hard to cherish," he said, watching as she got the video ready. He shook his head, "Besides, I've got no experience with kids, so I really am just winging it." he offered as an explanation, "She's been making it fairly easy thus far to learn."

Hannah smiled softly to herself as she put the video on for them to watch, moving over to sit on the couch with him, "She's a good girl, though you aren't as likely to cherish her when she's a pill.'

He smiled back at her, and moved to sit closer to her as she sat, putting an arm up behind her on the couch, "I will have to take your word for it on that," he said as he leaned into her slightly. His hand moved to rest on her shoulders now and he let his attention move from her to the small telli. The pictures were starting and the sound was low, and he watch for a moment before glancing at Hannah. She had the most delicate features, and he found he only wanted to stare at her, and memorize her every curve.

Hannah glanced at him with a smile. "You have a cow-eyed look on your face." she said, quietly, "Are you in love?"
Alpha: "Yes." His words were quiet as he let his eyes rest on her face, "Yes Hannah. I am in love with you. I wasn't as sure before, because it seemed like it was rushing things. But these weeks away from you have showed me what my life is like, without you in them," and Neville swallowed before he went on, "And I didn't like it. I don't want to wait again like this, Hannah, before I see you. I am falling madly and utterly in love with you."

She leaned over and kissed him softly for a few long moments as his words melted her into a gooey pile. She closed her eyes for a moment before resting her forehead, "You're very easy to fall in love with, Neville Longbottom. You are a gentlemen and yet you don't let me forget that I am a woman. It's been so very long and you've been so good with Livey. She's asked for you. I think she's in love with you too."

"Livey loves me? But Hannah..," he said, turning to her and moving his hand to her shoulder and along her arm, and he found he wanted to press her, to hear her say she loved him too. But something held him back, this honor of not pressing a lady or forcing her. He nodded at her words, and he let himself kiss her, pulling himself to her, and wrapping his arms about her in the throes of emotional passion. He had told her that he loved her and she had said he was easy to love. He wasn't sure if that meant she was in love with him, but he took it as a sign, a step and it comforted a part of him inside. Her lips burned against his, the fire between them starting again as it had been when they'd danced. Neville could not speak his thoughts, his feelings; he could only whisper her name, "Hannah."

She rested her forehead against his for a long moment, her eyes searching his for a long moment, "I laid in bed at night thinking of you and wondering what it would be like to be with you." she admitted.

"You did?" he said quietly, swallowing hard before he kissed her again lightly, "Hannah, I've never...you should know...I do not have much experience in that area," he said, even as his head still touched hers. He grew silent as he thought. Swallowing, he spoke again, "I want to be with you Hannah. Please. Let me make love to you...," he said quietly, his hands moving down her back to move closer to her, his hands into her hair.

She blushed slightly. She had been thinking more of falling asleep in his arms, but she felt that tight curl in her belly when he asked to make love to her. Her pulse was thudding in her chest as she watched him, "I'm flattered, Neville, that you want me. You make me feel so much more then myself and I.... I would like that."

He could not believe his cheek, being so forthright and open, and yet she had responded, encouraging his secret want, "We can go slow, if you want Hannah. I do not want to rush you," and he flushed, "I'm so bloody bad at this," he lamented but he moved to gather her up into his arms, to kiss her brow, her cheeks, "Yes, we can go slow," he murmured between kisses, holding her close as the telli spoke on about something he had barely been playing attention to at the moment. He held her close, his heart beating hard in his chest, afraid to speak for a moment.

She nuzzled him softly as her hands smoothed along his back, trying to reassure him as he kissed everywhere. Her mouth pressed softly to his skin, "I'm not the most experienced either, despite having a child." she said, quietly. She'd only ever been with Marcus. She'd loved him, but it wasn't like they'd been sexually active their entire relationship, it had only been the last few months.

He moved back, sitting, still stunned at what was happening, and he nodded at her suggestion, "If Livey got up, she might find us here and that wouldn't be good," he began as he moved to rise from the couch. His own clothes were slightly twisted and rumbled and he ran a hand up through his hair as he stood, getting his bearings. He noted that she was still sitting and he reached down to her, to help her up. "If you want, I can cast a silencing spell, so your room stays quiet and we don't wake her up," he offered, his fingers threading through hers as she rose. A smile began to form on his lips; he could not believe how incredibly privileged he felt, how lucky, "Hannah," he began again, and then he blushed and shook his head, so pleased his smile was hurting his cheeks.

She fixed her skirt as she got up and gave him a small smile, "Let me get the monitor just in case she wakes up." she said, quietly, moving to grab the small white walkie talkie thing. She used the little bit of space to clear her head. She knew that she wanted this. She returned to him after a moment and took his hand, leading him down the small hallway to her bedroom on the end. She opened the room, having a basic queen sized bed. There wasn't anything super fancy in her room, it was mostly just plants.

He watched as she shut the door, and he pulled out his wand, and cast a silencing spell about them, ensuring that they could speak without waking her daughter. He stood, not exactly sure how he should proceed. She was standing as well, and he moved to her, "Let me help you," he said, and he stepped behind her. His hands went to her zipper, and he pulled it down, exposing her bare back, a bra strap; he leaned in and kissed what he saw, letting his hands rest on her shoulder and helping to slide the dress off of her shoulders.

She pulled the blonde curls forward off her back as he pulled the zipper down to the small of her back. She watched him over her shoulder out of the corner of her eye. She blushed softly as he kissed the skin as it was exposed. She felt soft and feminine and vulnerable. It was a little scary.

Her dress moved down, and he could see her back, much like when she had been in a the swimsuit. He kissed her skin again, the top of her shoulder as it pooled around her feet, and he bent down, to pick it up off the ground as she stepped out of it. "I know that it's foolish and too fast, but for the longest time I've had feelings for you, since fourth year, watching you waltz around the floor with Ginny Weasley, so dashing and awkward, yet you belonged there. I thought you were so handsome. It's silly and too fast."

He pulled back, "It is not too fast, Hannah. We have been dancing around this for years. If anything, I am an idiot for being too slow and not telling you sooner," he said, comforting her and kissing her head again as he held her, "I have had feelings for you as long as I can remember. Seeing you again only made me realize how much I have missed you, wanted you, and now," he said, pulling back slightly so he could see into her face, "We have each other. I am not going to let you go. Ever."

He felt his heart beating, the rhythm of it steady and strong as he held her in his arms. He could feel her pulse as well, a steady match to his own and all of what they had just done came to him again, a sweeping reinforcement of how right they felt together.

"I am ready for this. Hell, I've been waiting for this, it seems my entire life. I never wanted to do this with anyone else, Hannah. I've..I've never even thought to try."

His voice was calm, confirming and confident in his every words. He let a hand stroke her skin, amazed again at how she felt next to him, naked and warm, and he paused as he heard her last words, pausing that her having Olivia might be a deterrent.

"Your daughter is a part of you, a huge part. I relish all of you Hannah, including her. It is who you are. I wouldn't presume to expect anything else from you, of you. I mean, I wouldn't ever wish you didn't have her! She's an amazing little girl, and a piece of your past. If things were different," he said, pausing and swallowing, "You might not be here with me right now."

One of these moments, she was going to wake up and it was going to be a huge dream. "You are the single most perfect thing on the world. I don't know what I ever did to deserve you." she said, quietly before laying her head on his shoulder and snuggling into him, content with this small part of her life.
