WHO: Alecto Carrow (as Allison Karras) & Rabastan Lestrange.
WHERE: Arachnida in Knockturn Alley
WHEN: BACKDATED to after this exchange. (I am sorry it's dated so far back, but... I haven't had a chance to post this until I got my computer back.)
WHAT: Rabastan see's Alecto for the first time in five years.
RATING: High, c'mon! Two Death Eaters? High.

Arachnida was not the most popular of shops in Diagon Alley, but as a child it was always a favorite of Alecto's. She loved spiders, all those creepy crawlies that usually sent other girls into fit of shrieks and screams made Alecto happy. Spiders fascinated her, how they moved, how they were literally a silent killer, laying out their web coaxing bugs into it's silky tangle. Out of all the species that Alecto could name off the top of her head, spiders were at the top. It was only fitting that after was said and done with the Death Eaters that Alecto own the giant spider shop that made her so happy as a child. The only thing in her way of achieving her dream was the owner. It didn't take much to "convince" him to give up the shop, after all, once Alecto had her mind set on something nothing was going to stop her from obtaining it. With the previous owner on a permanent holiday, Alecto set out to lay claim on the shop. Under the alias of Allison Karras, Alecto became the new owner. Not many people in Knockturn Alley took notice, and those that did, didn't care enough to question her. Alecto, or rather, Allison didn't draw attention to herself, and the shop - no matter what management it was under - wasn't soaring in sales. Giant spiders weren't really in high demand, and Alecto knew that.

Seated behind the counter towards the back of the store, the constant sound of scratching along the walls filled her ears and made her smile. "Oh my pretty darlings," She cooed towards the invisible spiders, her dark eyes glanced around her, "Don't worry..." Her purred softly as she felt one furry leg land on her shoulder. Lifting her fingers, her held her palm out for the spider to crawl down from her shoulder and rest in her hand. It was MASSIVE, just it's body was the size of her hand with her fingers spread out. It's legs balanced precarious on it's tiny perch as eight glossy eyes peered at the woman. "Silly thing, the sun has barely set, you can't leave yet." A broad smile curled on her lips, as she tilted her head to the side, lifting her fingers, she ran it over the front legs of the spider.

"I have a friend coming," Her voice was low as she spoke to the spider. "He hasn't seen the new me." Laughing to herself, she watched as the spider leaped from her hand into a hidden crevice in the store. Arachnida was not exactly designed with customers in mind, it was dark... very dark. Spider didn't like the light too much, especially giant spiders. There was the occasional candle flickering and casting dark shadows over the walls. The entire place was lined with cages, but most of them were empty. The few that did have something in them were usually shaking and shrieking with carnal sounds. The wall, or what could be seen of them were wooden, and worn in, scratches were visible under the low lights and webs full of cocoons and decaying bugs. The store smelled of burning sage, with a distinct hint of coppery rot, like decaying bodies. Leaning back in her seat, Alecto has learned how to ignore the smell, and her eyes have become accustomed to the lack of light as well.

Three candles were flickering light across the counter, illuminating her changed features. It was a face that was unrecognizable to anyone but her brother. While visually she has changed, her voice still had that distinct tone to it, and her laugh was definitely something she needed to work on. Alecto really couldn't wait until Rabastan showed up, the surprise across his face about her appearance was going to be priceless.

Unsure how he managed to accomplish keeping low and away from his favorite person for more than a couple of days, Rabastan was impressed with himself. He enjoyed poking and proding the Carrows on a daily basis, especially other things with Alecto. Staying away for five years was unquestionably hard, but it was all he could really do after what happened. A part of him did feel weird knowing how unbelievably close those two siblings were. Of course, others whispered around each corner about different subjects of the same matter. However, he chose not to listen to those little rumors of the gossip that made it to his ear. It seemed that Alecto was in to him, far more then her brother. As much as he pushed her away and pulled her close in a form of teasing, it seemed that nothing could prevent her to do anything that discusting. There. He had finally admitted to himself of what he really thought of the situation, but that wasn't enough to keep him away, especially the thought that remained firm in the front of his mind.

Rabastan pulled the hood over his head, scooting it as much as he could so it would hide his face. Although he currently was within Knocturn Alley, it was different then it had been five years ago. He couldn't walk through it easily without covering his face. Well, he could if he wanted to be chased down the pathway by a stream of aurors at the back of his heels. No one really could be safe in the familar enviroment any longer. Everyone could be against him, however, he knew that he could trust Alecto. It did seem strange that she wanted to meet at the Giant Spider store. Someone could recongize them within there, nor was it a long shot either. However, Rabastan did trust the younger Carrow sibling. It did help that she was always attractive and that he yearned to see her once again. He had left so angry on that faithful night five years ago, honestly never wanting to glance back, but there he was returning to her like a puppy that begged for attention.

Glancing over his shoulder for a moment, he wanted to catch someone in the eye for staring at him. A part of him wanted to be recongized, so he could give chase to that particular person. It had been a couple days since he had taken a life for himself. The prospect of blood slipping down his skin seemed to grand to miss, even though these days Rabastan didn't care about the blood status. He killed just about anyone that he would get his hands on. Each time he did though, the vision of the person that took his brother's life was firmly within his mind. The only bad part was that he didn't have a clue who had taken Rodolphus away from him. It didn't seem that he had anyone watching him any longer, which felt strange the last couple of years. If it hadn't been for the eldest Lestrange, Rabastan knew that he would have passed away a long time ago. All the stalking that he had been accomplishing didn't give him one single hint on who that particular person's identity might be.

Entering the store, Rabastan looked around quickly each way, trying to catch a glimpse of Alecto first. He almost had a hungry expression spread across his face. It soon came to the conclusion shortly that she hadn't been in the immediate room. Perhaps, he was early. That had to be it. Hopefully, not too much though. If by chance that the sales person at the counter reconized exactly who he was, then he would take matters into his own hands, already begging for the excitement of the kill. Or by chance Alecto did take a while, he would off the woman anyway, along with having his way with her. She was by far attractive then he thought shopkeepers were detailed to be. Clearing his through slightly, Rabastan kept the hood over his head for the time being, while he made it seem as though he was shopping for a large spider. He had been meaning to obtain a pet to keep him company.

The sound of the door opening pulled her attention from the spiders creeping around her to a dark hooded figure stepping into her store. Lips curled into a mischievous grin, as she remained silent, keen eyes watching the man move closer to the counter. Reclining a bit in her chair, one of the smaller spiders descended from it's web and dangled before, it's gaze inquisitive towards the man who was approaching. Snickering cruelly, Alecto held out her hand to allow the spider to land in the palm of her hand. As the spider crawled to the tips of her fingers, it clicked loudly and all the noises in the store immediately ceased. The store fell eerily quiet, too quiet, uncomfortably silent. It was the sort of silence that usually came before a storm, or in the case that came before a kill.

Purring softly towards the spider, those eyes never left the hooded figure. "They don't like strangers, especially hooded strangers." Her voice, Merlin how that voice was something that gave students nightmares during her time at Hogwarts. It was like nails running down a chalkboard, a tone that sent thrill down the spines of others. It was a voice that was likely familiar to Rabastan, a voice that was purred into his ear late at night. Lifting a finger, she ran it down the back of the spider, as it remained poised in the palm of her hand with it's front legs in the air. A finely sculpted brow arched, as the spider lowered it's front legs. It's pinchers clicked together and echoed through the store.

Sighing, Alecto didn't have time to deal with hooded strangers, a fugitive was about to come into her store, the last thing she wanted was someone else to be there. Flicking the spider away, it soared into the air before shooting webbing out and ascending higher into the shadows and away from the flickering candlelight. Sliding off her chair, she pulled her wand out from one of the folds in her skirt and rounded the counter. "You know, any other day I would welcome customers into my store, but I don't have bloody time for this right now." Her voice was a harsh hiss, as she aimed her wand at the man, "Besides, I learned early on never to trust a hooded figure." A flicker of amusement flashed through her gaze, as the sound of scratching on the walls made it evident that the spiders were creeping closer.

Alecto did promise them a meal, didn't she? What better way to supply that meal than to just have it innocently walk into her shop?

With eyes gliding across the merchandise within the small shop, Rabastan's ears perked up at the sound of quiet surrounding his entire being. It was slightly too eerie for his taste, especially since he enjoyed loud noises around every corner. As long as some racket was occurring around him, then he would have been satisfied, like the slight scurring or spider legs against their cages or on solid surfaces. However, an exceeding amount of quietness had caused him to be more alert for an unexpected attack. That was something that his brother had taught him years ago in their teenage years. Quite a few things had stayed with him that the elder Lestrange had taught or spoke to him. It was all he had left of the man anyway. Nothing to cling on too, even with the old Lestrange manor laying vacant these days.

Rabastan kept the same position at the hint of the woman's voice, who sounded very familar. With just the sound of her voice, he became immediantly confused. He had just looked at her a few moments before and the entire area around him. Alecto was no where in the current vicinity. However, there her voice had been engulfing the room. Ironically, he couldn't place the two and two together as quickly as he should have.

The same voice, but a different body? There was no way that Alecto could have changed her appearence that drastically. At least, he thought there wasn't a concrete way to look that differently. Rabastan did notice how attractive the woman behind the desk had been, but that didn't change the fact that he honestly thought Alecto was a gorgeous beast as well. Pushing that all aside though, he didn't think that the adrenline rush of the kill would come quickly, spiders creeping closer slowly hadn't phased him one bit either, he tilted his head back slowly allowing the cloth of the hood slide back just slightly. It wasn't a big deal if the clerk saw his identity any longer, especially since she wasn't going to live that much longer.

"Now, that isn't a way to treat customers. And you know how the saying goes, the customer is always right," he replied to her short two sentences. A hand already reached for his own wand within his robes. Allowing his fingers to clasp along the smooth surface of the wand, Rabastan pulled it out swiftly and turned his own body to face the woman. Eyes narrowed at the other in the room, he felt the rest of his hood slip off of his head to hang limply. "Sometimes, one has to be a hooded figure. I thought one would be used to such an attire in a place of the sort."

That voice! She could recognize that voice anywhere. It was a voice that she learned by heart, the only other voice - aside from her brothers - that could send her heart racing in her chest. A flicker of excitement made those dark eyes illuminate in the candlelight, watching him closely as he pushed his hood back just slightly. She wanted to rip that hood off, but she knew taking a step closer might be fatal. She knew Rabastan was just as unhinged as her, if not more so. Especially now since he was forced into hiding, she knew he didn't do well with hiding, and was quite surprised to learn that he didn't do anything about his appearance to make it easier to go out.

Tracing her tongue over her bottom lip, her suspicions were proven true as his hood fell completely off his head and his identity was revealed. Merlin, she never realized how much she missed him until he was standing right there before her. Lips curled into a smirk as she studied him for a long moment. She remained with her wand poised and aimed at him, this was going to be fun. If Rabastan knew he was looking directly at Alecto he wasn't giving any hints to it, especially since his gaze narrowed and his look was predatory towards her.

"After wearing a hood for so long, one knows the types that wear hoods, rabbit." Her voice was calm and alluring purr, as she lifted her wand, but instead of shooting a hex towards the man, a bright illuminating light flashed from it. The light startled the spiders and sent them scattering away from the two of them before the light died out and left the two of them in the flicker of the candles. The sounds returned to the shop as the spiders went back to their business of being spider-like. The scratching filled the store, along with the sounds of clicking and hissing and the rattling of cages.

"Surprise..." That wheezy giggle came from her lips as she held her arms out to show off her new figure and her new looks. She wasn't stout any more, no sir. The woman had curves, sinful curves that she didn't have to hide behind corsets and bulky skirts with. Her features were softer and far more attractive - in her opinion - than they were before. She looked poised and demure with her new look but still had that "I can rip you apart with my teeth" look as well. It was a look that was both unique to Alecto and new. It was a look that allowed her to walk through the Wizarding world without having to hide.

Narrowed eyes seemingly glued upon the woman before him, Rabastan had a few ideas what do with her throughout the night. Of course, he would let Alecto within all the fun as well. He couldn't deny her the sense of the kill if it was slapping them across the face begging to be tortured. Those were memories that seemed to become etched into his brain the more that they accomplished such an act and stayed near to his heart. Not many things were actually near that particular place. He did well without thinking, which was apparent all the times that he had rushed into battle without a thought or plan within his mind. That was how he worked. Why change the behavior or simple actions if they lead one towards a particular goal, correct? Rabastan always emerged victorious from anything that he set his mind to. Not one to be caught for very long, despite is one time stay within Azkaban, he was still roaming the streets and gazing at the very members of the order biding his time to burst through to let his presence become known.

With want pointed directly at the woman and hood fully off of his head, he tilted his head curiousity and confusement. She had called him rabbit. Only one person was allowed to call him that, while the rest recieved a knife in their gut for even thinking about of the endearing nickname. It had seemed that the moment that he had convinced himself that there hadn't been a chance that Alecto could change her appearence that much, her words and laugh were evident that there was a way. Of course, it was obvious of the reason behind her transformation; to wander the streets unnoticed, while Rabastan still had to resort to a hood over his head. For a few moments, the Lestrange had to stand there in complete awe of the figure in front of him. No words came from his lips as a few seconds had passed by, even with his mouth hanging open with a clear confused expression remaining across his face.

"What?" he asked, finally breaking the silence. The simple word felt as though he hadn't uttered a single word in centuries. Rabastan remembered Alecto clearly on how her appearenced looked five years ago, not couning the pregnancy, she was a very attractive woman. A part of him wished that she hadn't changed her figure, but understood completely. However, he had a slight inkling that he was being played for a fool. It was noticable that the "new" Alecto had a body that was breathtaking from the first glance, but he wouldn't be tricked. Oh, no. He wouldn't allow that to occur to him. Too many years had he layed in wait for the most opportuine moment to emerge from the shadows with a brand new plan to take over the ministry, end lives of the order members, and get the revenge for his lord and brother to be swept away in such an indiotic ploy.

Did he believe that Alecto was standing in front of him? No, but he indeed wanted to believe a far fetched tale, even with the wheezy sort of laugh. Anyone could imitate that. Heck, the children did it back at Hotwarts now and then. But how he missed that insane woman. That wasn't something he was willing to admit to her though.

"Alecto! How?" he asked, playing along with the little game, adding a sininster grin for affect. If there was one thing that Rabastan was good at, it was playing along in any situation. Once he was closer to her, he'd pull her close to his own body, figuring out first hand if she even had the scent of the only woman that could ever possibly keep up with him. Eyes trailing down her body rather slowly, which made it evident that he enjoyed her figure greatly, as he stepped a bit closer to her. "Now this is really a surprise," he added slowly lowering his own wand.

Alecto really wished she didn't have to change her appearance, part of the fear that she gave people came from her appearance. She didn't care if the students made fun of her "stout" figure, she knew how to wear it well. Now? Well, now she didn't look as much as a large hulking mass, she looked deceptively demure and poised. However, no matter how much different she looked, that didn't change her mindset. While the Dark Lord was dead and gone, she knew she had to keep His wishes alive. It was just a matter of time before the Dark Arts would rise again, it was only a matter of time before she could strike with a force that would shake the very core of the Wizarding World. When the Dark Lord was alive they had to do things according to his guidance and wishes, with the Dark Lord dead, she could go through with his plans her way. Just because Voldemort was dead, it didn't mean his beliefs and morals were dead. No matter how much the Ministry tried to extinguish all that the Death Eaters have done, there was still the sole fact that all those Death Eaters who were truthfully loyal to the cause and alive still believed in those ways. If Bellatrix and Rodolphus were alive they would be ashamed of what the Wizarding World has become, and what those who have once been allies to the Dark Lord have become.

Alecto planned on not letting their deaths be in vain. She had plans, it was just a matter of time and now that another one of her close comrades has returned, she knew those plans were to soon come into fruition. With Alecto's appearance changed it was just going to make it easier to go through with her plans, she just had to convince the two closest men in her life to change their appearances as well. After all, just across the alley in Knockturn Alley was a shop that specialized in that. If they weren't willing to take some polyjuice potion, she was going to force them all to go to that shop. Under her alias of Allison Karras she was on... somewhat good terms with the other patrons of Knockturn Alley. At least as Allison Karras she didn't demand attention that might prove ill wanted.

"It's..." Purring softly towards him, a finger traced along his cheek, "magic." Giggling, the spiders were becoming increasingly loud and anxious. Obviously hungry and craving permission to leave, Alecto growled under her breath as she slipped out of Rabastan's grasp and moved towards the counter. "All right, bloody hell." Blowing out the candles, the store was suddenly plunged into complete and utter darkness. The sounds only increased, as Alecto navigated her way through the store and towards a leaver that was near the front of the shop. A loud click sounded as a series of windows on the roof simultaneously opened and the cool night air swept through the entire store. Scampering was heard next as thousands of spiders poured out into the night, ready to kill and feed. Smirking broadly, the windows closed as the last of the hunting spiders left. Flicking her wand towards the candles on the counter, they once more ignited and filled the room in a dim candle light.

"I've been promising them a feed for the past few days. I find them easier to handle when I can control their every want and need." Smirking slyly towards Rabastan, she stepped up behind him and traced her nails across his shoulder and down his neck. "You know, rabbit, with you back we can finally get to work about cleaning up all the mud that continuously floods our wizarding world." Arching a finely sculpted brow, she rounded him to face him, those dark eyes searching his own dark green stare.

"Why did you leave? There was so much that could have been done in the past five years. A better question is why did you come back? I thought you wouldn't come back after -- well, after everything." There was a hint of sadness in her voice. She was certainly hurt that he left the way he did, without a word or a goodbye. Just up and left her and her brother. While Alecto would never complain about being left with Amycus - he was her best friend, and her dearest companion - it did hurt... a little. They were a minority now, they weren't sitting high anymore and to have one of them just leave? Well, it wasn't very nice.

Rabastan still wasn't sure how to take everything as a whole. It seemed like a trick, despite the scent in their surrounding area seemed all too familar to him. He had wanted to believe the woman before him, simply because he had wanted and felt the need to be near Alecto. She had a way of pushing the right buttons and the correct mindset as in the perfect creature that might have walked the same ground that he had. It's why he had come back to comfortable grounds. The perfect mate to bear his young, preferrably a son to carry on the Lestrange name for centuries to come. His family was strong willed, the reason behind at least one surviving member to continue on the legacy. He truly wasn't going to take no for an answer, especially from the perfect specimen. Or well, he came out of the shadows. Skin was more pale than they had last scene each other. The pigment wasn't enough to make his skin as white as he had been after his days within Azkaban, but it certainly reminded him of those moments. He was, however, a bit sensitive about that little obvious fact. As long as no one pointed it out, they shall both be perfectly fine.

Magic. Of course, he could have thought of that himself. As much as he wanted to walk freely in the light with the rest of the common folk and not be pointed as a death eater. Not that he wasn't proud of what he was to the Dark Lord, especially since he would be forever loyal to the mastermind, a life literally running from aurors wasn't what he had wanted to do the rest of his days. "More than one source of magic. It's not easy to change one's appearence unless it's a hint of polyjuice potion," he replied, watching her ever movement. The woman had even had the same actions of Alecto. It was strange, and compelling all at the sametime. He still couldn't bring himself to believe her words and her claims, even if it seemed to be right in front of his nose. The obvious. That's what Alecto was being at the moment and he still couldn't put down his invisable wall. Maybe all that time alone did worse than he had thought previously.

Watching Alecto move away from him to tend to the creatures that roamed within the store, Rabastan stood silently to hear the scampering of the spiders fleeing from the premises. It was a shame that he hadn't had a chance to ask for a pet of his own before they all ventured into the night to feed. Maybe some other time. After all, it wasn't that much important for him to have a companion within the shadows, even though it would have been wicked to watch the little beast devour whatever prey they set their hearts upon. "Controlling their every need for how long? They seemed that they could engulf a dragon plus it's young into their systems by the way that they scampered off into the night," he responded with a smirk, letting himself fall victim to the trick. He had always given in after a while to Alecto. Whether it would be physically within her or simply in general, eventually it would occur.

"I would love to wreak havok with you once again. Romping through the streets, like the good old days. It's been too long. Far too long," he replied, tilting his head and keeping his gaze upon Alecto. His dark eyes looking deep within her own, not bothering to move. "Bathing in blood isn't the same without you." Throughout all of his words, he never uttered her name. Rabastan heard his own nickname that she had given him. It seemed strange that if all of the events unfolding before him were a trick, how many thoughts and memories between them were purged into another person.

It wasn't until she asked the reasonings behind his departure a couple of years ago that he believed her words. Well, not fully, but more so then a few moments ago. There wouldn't be many people that knew that they hid out for a while together in secret after the war had ending, causing another lost to sting for the remaning death eaters. The hint of sadness within her tone of voice was heard clearly by Rabastan, which felt more then slightly strange. He had been used to his victims screaming out in pain and those who watched their loved ones tortured with sadness in their voices. Hearing it from someone that he had done plenty of murders along side almost didn't make sense. Maybe he was missed?

"You know why I left. I think it was quite obvious," he answered simply at first, walking along side the counter and trailing a hand on top of the smooth surface. "My return is my own business, but shall be revealed within time. Can't learn everything from the very beginning. Where would the fun be in that." Rabastan wasn't ready to speak of the ultimate reason that he had returned. How did one break it to another that he wanted them to bear his young? In fact, Alecto would have most likely regretted requesting his presence that very evening.
