He'd written Julien before he left for the interview to see if he could get off early. If they interview went well, they could celebrate. If it didn't...well, it wouldn't be the first time, honestly, and he'd rather have Julien there before they were both ready to pass out, either way. He knew that Jules loved his job, was good at it - hell, they both lived off of the money it made him - but only seeing his boyfriend when he was picking him up, asleep, from wherever he'd passed out on his way in the door did get a little taxing after a while.

The interview went well, and Alfie wanted to celebrate because Longbottom made it sound like this was about to be the best, easiest job he'd ever sodding had. With the best pay, too. So Alfie headed home after the interview was over and jumped in the shower, ready to wait for Jules - see if he could swing getting home early - so they could do something.

Alfie felt him melt against him, needy and submissive, and something inside him growled at that, at how much power Jules gave him. Julien's heart skipped a half-beat at the growl Alfie made against his mouth, knowing that he'd just turned Alfie on, feeling it soon after, the way the man he loved just took him over like this turning him on even more. He lifted his arm again so that both were looped round Alfie's neck and kissed him, rocking back against him. "Mmhm. The uneeded but ewlcome reassurance that Alfie gave him set a little burning warmth in Julien's heart so much so that it felt like an ache. His hug tightened just a little in response to that before he let himself be pushed back against the wall, giving Alfie a slightly sharkish little smile. "Can celebrate right here." he said cheekily, petting Alfie's arm, just feeling this real and in front of him.

Alfie groaned anyway, the touch light or not, because he could hear Jules groaning against him, watched Julien watching him touch him and just knowing that he was doing what he was told, that he as enjoying every second of it, made Alfie flush.

A second later he let go of him and turned the water off in a rush, opening the shower door and practically dragging Julien out of it and back though the door toward the bedroom.

Anyone who knew them, anyone who knew Julien alone, would probably have been surprised to see the dynamic between them when they were under the sheets together. Although he was quiet and deferential, Julien didn't seem kinky enough to be so thoroughly submissive the way he was to Alfie when they did this. He seemed more like the vanilla, missionary position kind of guy, but this... he ate this up. He felt safe and most of all, he felt loved.

Hearing Alfie say that made something in Julien light up every single time he heard it - he remembered when it was something that Alfie couldn't tell him, when this them was something they had to keep secret.

"Alfie..." he murmured, enough love in the name alone that he didn't really need to say it back, although he was about to until Alfie's mouth took his again like it was exacting vengenance for being apart.

Alfie kissed him until he couldn't breathe, again, and like every time he stopped to think about it he realized just how perfect kissing Julien this way was. Having him close and being able to do this whenever the hell he wanted to. He'd have never thought, even when they started, that they'd end up here - and now he couldn't imagine not having this.

When he pulled back from the kiss he was smiling, and he stretched over Julien to open the nightstand and take out what they'd need.

Julien would have been happy to have died this way, his breath stolen by the man he loved. He lay under Alfie as the other boy lifted up and away from him and sighed, catching his breath as Alfie leaned over him, going for what he knew was going to lead to Alfie being inside him agai, inside him and he couldn't wait.
