[WHO] Alicia Spinnet, Katie Bell, and Angelina Johnson
[NPCs] Brian Johnson
[WHEN] February 23rd; just after lunch
[WHERE] Begins at the Ministry of Magic; ends up at Brian's place!
[SUMMARY] Katie got an owl back from Angie, so she's going to pick up Ali from work. The two are going to comfort their mate! <3
[RATING] PG-13 // angsty, sadness
[STATUS] Incomplete

Once again, another epic day at the Ministry. Alicia managed to stomach Tibbets for the first half of the day, but when she returned from lunch, he was already on her case about whatever he could pull out of his ass. Apparently her lunch ran long. Big freaking deal! She was only five minutes late. Five minutes might as well have been an hour the way he was talking to her. "MOVE," she demanded, the stubborn bloke remain transfixed in the doorway of her cubicle. Needless to say, Ali wasn't in the mood to deal with his antics. She found a little wiggle room and squeezed past the git, shoving him over on her way to the desk. "Don't you have someone else to bother?"

The weekend trip to the pub in Aberystwyth was a huge relief, and she had Cho to thank for that. If not for her, all that pent up aggression she had toward Tibbets probably would have resulted in her punching the rat bastard. Alicia was so grateful her boss made it back from his holiday, but why on earth couldn't they find a way to put a muzzle on Tibbets? She filed complaint after complaint, which wasn't like Ali to say the least. And since every last one of her complaints went unaddressed, she was dancing the fine line between apathy and taking matters into her own hands, whether that mean quitting or hexing Tibbets to high heaven & getting fired as a result.

It just really wasn't the time to mess with Alicia. To make matters worse, her personal life had gone up in flames. She had successfully chased away her most recent dating prospect, and one of her best mates managed to suddenly up and disappear without so much as a warning. All she could gather was that there was concern about Angelina's parents. What had become of them, or of her for that matter, was unknown to all but two: Fred & George Weasley. That miffed her all the more. Why couldn't she tell Kate or Ali? They were flatmates after all.

Tibbets walked up to her desk and leaned his hands on the files she was working on, trying to intimidate Alicia no doubt. Wrong move. She shot up out of her seat and challenged him back, thankful that the desk was in between them. "Get out of my office. I'm not going to ask you again."

Ordinarily, Katie would have been smirking as her friend flipped the annoying one the bird. She was having trouble finding humor in anything at the moment, though. Lips were pressed in a thin line, hand staying close to her want as she looked straight ahead, focused on getting Alicia and getting to their friend. She didn't like being here. She didn't like that Ali was still here. The Ministry wasn't safe and she worried about what could happen.

"They're dead, Ali," she murmured, turning to look at her friend at last. "She's at Brian's."

That was all she knew at present, but that was enough. It was more than enough. A short while ago, she'd been worried something had happened to her own parents. Even so, she could scarcely imagine what Angelina was feeling right now. She couldn't pretend to understand how it felt, but she knew that not going right to her was not an option.
