Ordinarily, Katie would have been smirking as her friend flipped the annoying one the bird. She was having trouble finding humor in anything at the moment, though. Lips were pressed in a thin line, hand staying close to her want as she looked straight ahead, focused on getting Alicia and getting to their friend. She didn't like being here. She didn't like that Ali was still here. The Ministry wasn't safe and she worried about what could happen.
"They're dead, Ali," she murmured, turning to look at her friend at last. "She's at Brian's."
That was all she knew at present, but that was enough. It was more than enough. A short while ago, she'd been worried something had happened to her own parents. Even so, she could scarcely imagine what Angelina was feeling right now. She couldn't pretend to understand how it felt, but she knew that not going right to her was not an option.
