WHO: Kyle Moore and Luke Gillespie
WHEN: December 10th, afternoon
WHERE: Training room
WHAT: Luke needs some help controlling his powers
RATING: Low-Medium? Idk, dark memories might be dark?
STATUS: Incomplete/closed.
Kyle arrived in the training room a while before he'd agreed to meet Luke there, preferring always to be early rather than late. Lateness, to him, represented a lack of true investment, and he never wanted to give off the impression to the recruits that he was less than fully invested in their training. Working with them required them to trust him and his intentions, and he was keen on maintaining that trust. Especially with someone like Luke, who since his initiation into the Syndicate had had something of a rough go of things. Of course, it seemed like he'd had rather a rough go of things even before that -- which was not an uncommon trait of Syndicate members, but in Luke's case seemed to make him a bit more ... uncertain.
Practice would give him the confidence he needed to improve his powers. Kyle was sure of that. Though he was not particularly fond of engaging with those with mental abilities at class levels higher than his own, he was reasonably comfortable with anyone of lower rank, whom he could typically outmanoeuvre or at least intimidate away from doing anything unseemly with their gifts. Kyle didn't like the idea of anyone tampering with his mind. Frankly, it gave him the creeps.
But if Luke was going to improve, Kyle was going to have to set that aside -- tuck it away deep inside his mind, along with any of the more guarded secrets he carried. He spent his time waiting for Luke gathering his thoughts and burying them.
