ACTIVITY CHECK!!!!!!!

It has been one hell of a year for pretty much everyone in this game. RL-wise, I'm pretty sure there is not one of us in game that have not had something major happen this year, good or bad or just stressful and time-consuming. And in game we've had so much happen, from drama to slow play, from massive drops to tons of adds. And now we've been in a sloooow holding pattern.

It's time for that to end. In an effort to jump start this glorious game, we're doing this activity check, like I informed you guys in the email last week. If you didn't get the email, that's because I don't have an accurate email for you, so please email me and inform me who you are and who you play so I can save your email address!

Immediately following the end of this activity check next Monday, I will be posting an entry detailing the plot that will take place that following Friday.

So regarding this activity check, here's the deal:

Please comment to this post with YOUR NAME in the subject line and who you are keeping and/or dropping in the comment box. Activity check is over on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12TH at midnight PST.

When the activity check is over, I will be removing all characters not claimed from the comms and the taken list. If you miss the activity check but still want to play, email the mods with who your characters are and your name and that you want to keep them and if they haven't been applied for by someone else, you can have them back.

Activity check is over. This weekend I will compile a list of the characters that are up for grabs due to the mun not replying to the activity check.

To all of you that might be seeing this and didn't reply to the check, if after I put up that list you want your characters back, just email us and let us know. If they haven't been applied for, you can have them back.

It's been a VERY long time since we had an activity check and even though it's been slow and all of us, including the mods, are guilty of not playing that often, I'm not as concerned with those of us that at least do check in and comment even if we don't do all the posting.

What I'm concerned with is the people who've taken characters here and then NEVER played them. Or posted or commented with them once, and then let them die. We have had numerous interest from people wanting to play characters that are already taken and they either can't get a hold of the mun or the mun has said no even though they haven't played the character in a long time or at all.

So here's the deal.

Reply to this post with YOUR NAME in the subject line. Tell us in the comment who ALL your characters are.

The comments are screened to make it easier for us as mods to keep this post clean and accurately see who has what characters.

You have until MIDNIGHT next Friday, the 18th to reply to this activity check.

If you do not reply to this post, your characters will be removed from the communities and will be immediately up for grabs.

If you miss an activity check, you can request your characters back, if they're not already taken. We're not complete hardasses. We just ask that you not miss multiple checks, especially consecutive ones.

MOD POST!!!! ACTIVITY CHECK!!!!

This is the first bi-monthly activity check here at World In Her Hands! Everyone needs to reply to this post! Please put your name in the subject line and in the comment portion state your intentions for your characters. If you want to keep them all, say so. If you want to drop some, reply to the taken list with who you're dropping. We just need you to comment so we know you still want to play here.

I know we just got two or three new players here, and yes, you still have to reply to this, although you won't be removed from the game if you don't.

However for the rest of us, the mods included, if you don't reply to this post by APRIL 10TH @MIDNIGHT PST you WILL be removed from all the communities. Remember, this is the only time we will be posting a link to an activity check in every community and it's also the only time we will give warning ahead of time, or send an email. From here on out, if you miss an activity check, you will have your characters removed, unless you've already requested a hiatus.

If you miss an activity check, you can request your characters back. We're not complete hardasses. We just ask that you not miss multiple checks, especially consecutive ones.

Over the last few months we've had a lot of people inquire as to whether some players are in the game anymore. It occurred to Amber and I that we've never really had an official activity check even though it states in our rules that we require players to at least comment or post with all of their characters once a month.

So we've decided to institute a bi-monthly activity check. What this means is that approximately once every two months, or every month if we change our minds, we're going to put a post in the OOC announcing an activity check. Typically we'll give a 7 day period where you have to reply to it to let us know that you still intend to play your characters. If you haven't replied to it in that time, any characters that you play will be removed from the game. It also gives you the opportunity to decide if you truly want to play these characters anymore or if you're just hanging on to them because you aren't sure if you should drop them or not.

The first activity check will be taking place on April 1st which is this Wednesday. We're going to post it in EVERY community this time and this time only, to make sure that everyone sees it. Some people don't check the OOC and I'm not even sure if I have the email address of everyone in game, but I have sent an email to every address I have. If you didn't get one, chances are I don't have your email address or the one I have is one you don't use anymore. Please email me/us with an address you DO use.

For this first check, we're giving you 10 days to respond instead of 7. But for every check after this it will be 7 days. If you miss the activity check, you can have your characters back. All you have to do is email us and let us know that you missed it but you want your pups back. We're fine with that. But don't abuse our leniency. If you keep missing the checks, we're going to get sick of it and say no, you can't come back.

As always, any questions can be directed to either Amber or myself or both of us. We're committed to making this experience here a fun one, not a structured, no-nonsense, covered in rules game. We take pride in being a crack panfandom game, and we want people to enjoy themselves.
