Anakin shut the hood of the last clunkers of the night, amused and chuckling. So, Sway was itching for a race, he couldn't deny he wasn't twitchy either, must be the summer heat. Sometimes, the only thing for it was making your own breeze and the nighttime was the best time.

He started shutting down the shop, wiping grease off on the gray rag. The place was staying in the black, didn't work on Italians, but wasn't  a total waste. A cold, quick rinse before pulling on the plated suit for his bike would be refreshing and needed. He scribbled a note, sticking it on a obvious spot on the garage door, telling her where the cold sodas were and that he'd be ready to knock her down a notch asap.

Belle was fond of abusing her Godbox. It made travel so very nice. Not to mention it let her spend more time doing fun things. To think her plans for lunch prior to this had been to grab a coffee and sandwich from the shop in town.

She smiled and looked for Anakin, bouncing a little.

Ani stretched his legs out and rested them on the booth seat across from him, cracking his back. The locals were behaving themselves, no disturbances and only a few needed nudges to either stop drinking or start. They had finally learnt that while he was over here, sprawled like a cat over a radiator, nothing stupid was going to happen.

Quel-Droma. Now that was a name to ring a bell. Flagging Marie down for two beers, Ani mulled over what to possibly say to the man.

Ani slammed the lid down on the last pick-up truck of the day. Nothing major, just needed to be cleaned and regreased, normal wear and tear out in the bayous. Eyeing the clock, it was getting close to when Lennox agreed to meet and he needed to change and get together his side of the bargain: print outs of the maps to the docks and man's rather pricey condo along with the access codes he gleaned from the man's mind.

A good long scrub-down got most of the oil off his hands and he left the main dock door open for Lennox as he went to rinse  and change into the dark denims and shirt he put aside for the occasion.

Anakin slid into his usual booth in line of sight of the bar, and therefore Lou, the tables, the bathroom and the front door. The usual rabble was present and quiet,  which meant nothing with their boozed tempers.

Signaling to Lou for three cold bottles, he put his feet up on the table and assumed the "don't mind me, I'm harmless and clearly not the bouncer" position.

The great thing about these Godboxes was you didn't have to give actual directions or be specific. The phrase "where Padme is" did just fine and wham it was about forty degrees colder and thirty decibels louder. Anakin ran his hands through his hair and fussed with his clothes once more.

Aaaand the Bane of a whole Galaxy suddenly reverts to a skittish whomp-rat of a teenager on his first date, he mused, trying to figure out what does one bring when visiting a lady friend. Okay, when visiting a queen-cum-senator who was your eloped wife and you accidently offed in the middle of a hissyfit who suddenly just appeared in your alternate universe. Flowers seemed a bit trite and a bottle of wine probably announced less than savory intentions.

He suddenly realized he had been staring at the building a leetle too long for the hurried passerbyes. From the bayou, people, he smirked. N'awlins is called the Big Easy for a reason.

Anakin took one last look at the screen before turning to the bartender. "Another round please, and and add a second drink. I should have a friend joining me."

He settled further into his seat, placing his elbows on the bar. He felt around with the force, waiting for this other Anakin to show up. Hopefully he won't be an alternate version of himself.
