Medication question and WW...

Is anyone on metaphormin...aka...Glucophage? I know I'm killing the spelling.

My endo put me on it because of Polycystic Ovary issues and my blood sugars were starting to creep up into the "pre-diabetic" level. *sigh*  That was before I started doing WW again and got 35 lbs off now!! W00t! My blood sugars are down, as is my blood pressure and heart rate. :-D My heart rate has been sitting at 90 for a long time. That isn't abnormal in my family. My Mom's heart rate is ALWAY been 90, but my Dad on the other hand, his is down around 60 to 50. In high school, my heart rate was down in the 60s, but since then I've developed a list of autoimmune medical problems and list of medications as long as your arm. The endo put me on the new medication as a preventive measure to keep me from becoming diabetic.

Anywho, is anyone else on metaformin? I had hit a platue for a while before my check-up and was doing good to shed 1-2 lbs every two weeks. Since starting the new medication, I've dropped about 5 lbs in the last week! Whoo!!! Is this normal or am I just off the platue for a while?

Thanks!!!

Non Scale Victory!

I had a MAJOR nsv last night! I could go into details, but then I'd get told to post it elsewhere *giggles*. Lets just say I'm still glowing and leave it at that.

It's nice to feel comfortable in my own skin again. I have just under 100 pounds left to lose, but I'm noticing changes every day. Can't wait to go to my meeting this week and weigh in. That in itself is another NSV. I have gotten over my irrational fear of the scale.
