This seems close enough to a datapad I think I can manage it. Mara said I could post to this and meet others who are in a similar situation - having been pulled from their homes and brought here.

My name is Danni Quee, I just arrived and I've got a question or two or three, but they'll wait till I'm a bit more familiar with the terrain, I suppose. In the meantime, I truly cannot sleep - I suppose galaxy jumping would do that for you.

What is the most useful piece of advice you can give me about settling in here? And is anyone here a scientist? I'm curious if there is any use for my astronomy knowledge here where the stars look all different.

Jacen! Mara mentioned you were here and also coffee is similar to caf, so I think that might be very good advice. I don't suppose you can suggest further advice as to where such things should happen?

There's a few scientists around. Some of them work for me. Some of them teach.

What else do you do, other than astronomy?

Recently I've done a lot more with biological fields out of necessity - some biotech work I suppose you could say. I can get more detailed than that, but that's the jest of it.

What sort of work do you do?

I'm mostly in the clean energy business at the moment. With various engineering projects I pick up that interest me.

Biotech could be useful. If you wanted a job.

Or, if you want something else, I can get you the credentials for whatever takes your fancy.

I think showing up here in general can really throw off sleeping.

Well it was kind of mid day where I came from and then here it's not. It's like dimensional jet lag.

That helps at home too, although I suspect we don't have the same kinds. I wonder if there's some here where I am.
