I do understand it. I don't know if I agree completely with your actions, but ours are very similar. You choose to go to a sanitarium instead of jail. I pretended to have been insane, and used the powers of the Death Note in my favor. One example, but there it is. I would agree, though. I am willing to see what this is, whatever it may be.

Not everyone would have used it as I did. Would you have, if it had fallen into your hands?

It was easiest to alliviate suspicion. I needed to know who it was who stole my game and now I do. His name is Charles. And if he comes here. I will find a way to kill him. Maybe that might put me higher on your list but I'll cross that bridge if you ever get your notebook back.

I'd like to say I'd have used it like you. But I'm not like you. I'd have used it to destroy Ali. And everyone that sees the world like . Its not only criminals you needed to kill. You do see that right?

My choice was made for the same reason. I needed to get the police to believe I had no part of the Kira murders, because how could I if I were in jail and they continued? Of course, they had no idea that I'd written two fake rules in the notebook to help convince them of our innocence. Charles? Interesting.

Is he what I would consider a bad person? At least you're honest, that much is good. I do see it's not only criminals I needed to kill, Mona. They were the easiest and quickest way to get my message out, while at the same time, attracting the attention of L and the police. I had them wrapped around my fingers the entire time, after all.

Yeah. I liked that, the fake rules. Impressive. And you willingly spent all that time in jail, just so you could keep going once you were cleared.

Charles though, yes. You'd want him to die. I watched what's happening back home. I tried to escape his prison so he locked me in a hole in the ground.

I don't have the overarching vision you do. I admit that. The things I did as 'A' they were to punish people that deserved it yes, but it wasn't for a better world.

So, stil interested in our dinner, knowing all this?

I had a shinigami willing to help me, who was just as bored as I was. Of course I did. It was the simplest solution to an otherwise complex situation, so why not?

Perhaps I would. I don't know him yet, so the decision can't be made.

My vision was formed out of boredom and by chance when a mysterious notebook fell out of the sky and landed at my feet. I wasn't chosen or special like I'd once thought. It was what it was.

I am, yes. As I said, it's rare that someone like us can speak openly about things that have happened to us.

	Sometimes chance is all it takes. Maybe not chosen or whatever but you were there and you were probably a better choice than most. Well, there is that.
