It's completely allowed. I may or may not have done the same when my daughter was that age.

...and again back home since she's of dating age.

I know she's more than capable of taking care of herself, I've made sure she's kept up with her self defense classes and knows how to use weapons but that doesn't mean I still can't worry.

...or threaten when appropriate.

It just takes practice and patience. And given werewolves don't always have kids with their wives due to the high rate of miscarriages, it makes Jesse all the more precious.
