There are a lot of people here who know me, or know of me, and I think I owe a great many of them an apology.

Right before I showed up here -- well. I defeated Voldemort. I mean, like, immediately before. ~~I still have the El~~ and I've sort of been just reeling from that and not -- not sure what to say to anyone. I've read the books now, my books -- seen the films ~~I don't~~ and I just got myself trapped in this strange cycle of self-examination, I suppose. Looking at what I've done; realising how easy it might have been to do things better or differently. It's a struggle, it's strange, when it's all laid out in front of me in chapter and verse. I couldn't really -- I couldn't square it away easily.

But, Hermione sort of dragged me to my senses, so I'm here now. I'm present. And I'm sorry.

I'm sure a lot of us are grateful you defeated Voldemort. The world was a much better and safer place after that. I understand about the books and all that stuff. I'd wanted to learn more about what happened before my time. But sometimes.. in these situations, what you learn isn't always a fun experience. ~~Learned more than I ever wanted to~~ But I'm glad that you won.

And also thankful that you saved my dad's life. If that hadn't happened, I probably wouldn't even be here, or had even been born. My name is Scorpius, by the way. I was friends with a couple of your children in our time. We'd even competed in quidditch on occasion. Feel up to a practice run sometime, one Seeker to another?

Anyway. So. I'm never sure quite how much people know so I'll start at square one. I'm Johanna. I grew up in Panem. And every year the sick fucks running the show took a bunch of kids and made us fight to the death to remind everyone how powerful they were.

After winning the Games they make you mentor the next bunch of kids, and the next, and the next, basically forever. So every year you sit down with some squirt who won't last past night one watching your own Games and telling them what you could've done better.

Guess what I'm saying is, I know what you're going through. You look like you've got good people, but if you ever want to talk I'm at [ADDRESS] and will accept offerings of ice cream or alcohol.
