Turns out the professor that translated Shakespeare into what he calls Original Pronunciation is right here in Lawrence.

Its facinating. He actually has it pretty accurate. Didn't know the man myself but I did manage to see the shows he put on whenever I was in London. It explains a lot of the rhyming convention that doesn't make sense otherwise. And the jokes. Ye gods the jokes.

I sort of want to help him with a few of the phrases  he got slightly wrong.

[Damon]

I've read the entire collected works.

I think I might be going mad.

I get ya. The few times I didn't have my ring, it drove me crazy.

Badly. Last time, I ended up turning a girl out of boredom. And that was only after one day. Well, sort of. Stefan had filkwd me full of vervain and locked me in the cellar for a few days before that.

Yeah I've been there,

Usually regretted it and killed them once I woke up. Never really lasted all that long

Stefan decided to try and teach her to be like him. She got bored. Ran off, ended up becoming a problem and he killed her. She was amusing while it lasted. Really pissed both Stefan and Elena off too. Which was a bonus.

Angering Elena was a bonus?

I assume this was before you developed feelings for her

No, I've loved her since the second I laid eyes on her. I just wouldn't let myself admit it. Not even to myself.

I didn't deserve her, so I tried to make her hate me.

Yes well, love can be quite the complication. I know how it is.

If she hated you it would be easier, was that the logic?

She was with Stefan. Her hating me was a hell of a lot easier.

Your brother? The one married to the Mikaelson woman.

I can see how it would be easier

Yeah, this was long before any of the Originals showed up to ruin everything.

I see.

All the same, I understand the complication
