No evil douchewads of Heaven or Hell varities
OMG NO ONE TOLD ME PLAYING MOM WAS THIS STRESSFUL GUYS! It isn't even noon yet and Aiden has: Discovered the stairs, hid out in the cabinets under the kitchen sink, and "look, Dia! bubbles!"....handsoap, dipensed all over the bathroom.

Hatter, we're going to the store. This house needs better babyproofing now that he's IN ALL THE THINGS OMG.

Moms! Halp! What baby proof-y things do I need? I'm making a list!

I would suggest purchasing locks for all the cabinets that are within his reach and a gate for the stairs.

Gate is sooo the first thing on the list. I swear, he's trying to give me a heart attack today.

BE AFRAID, CLINT! BE VERY AFRAID! Seriously, every potentially dangerous, hazardous, or mess thing at the warehouse? Store it, lock it up, and block it off. Omgggg

So far, "because" works. Give it awhile and that will fail but for now he's accepting the brush off if you have no legit answer!

They get moving pretty quick, yeah. I missed a lot of that stage, though, with my niece, or i'd have some advice for you. I lived with my brother the first two years and then off and on later on, to you know, help him out and stuff.

Chloe was ten when I last saw her. So she'd be like... 12 now. Except the Seal sends you right back where you were, so she'd still be ten. But, when it's 2014 back home, she'll be 19. I think he did, sometimes. Appreciate it, I mean. Other times, I think I just drove him nuts.

The Seal complicates the simple questions. Isn't that half the point of siblings? To annoy the crap out of each other.

Moms aren't the only ones who know a thing or two about baby proofing houses.

Make sure you get covers for electrical outlets, hinges that make it impossible for babies to get into cabinets, plastic security gates to keep him from going into areas of the house you're not comfortable with him being in, and as a general rule try and keep any potentially dangerous items in far away places that he can't reach. Countertops, high tables, shelves - as far as you can get them.

Fair!

...oh god, I didn't even think about the outlet covers. I AM SO BAD AT THIS, SAM!

Young children are naturally curious, so in addition to ensuring that your home is as child-proofed as possible, I highly recommend that you provide a constant activity for Aiden as well. If he has something to occupy himself with, then he won't go searching for messes to get into. How old is he?

Pssh, I say its all an excuse to be lazy kids never used to be proofed against, you just had to watch them.

That said Emily will find ways around whatever we do so I mostly let Sam do what he wants with it all. Keeps him happy

You think I know how to Mom??

Like, even slightly. She's tiny and belligerent and frequently wants things. But is cute enough that she mostly gets the things. When tinier and needier I mostly just tried to anticipate stuff she'd want. Or why she was crying. Or what random words were she decided were things.
