Has anyone hunted any "monsters", of late?

I am running out of samples. I suppose I may simply have to go find some, myself.

That gets said a lot, often right before something explodes. Your intentions might genuinely be honorable, but research like that can easily be exploited by other people.

Assuming other people manage to gain access.

I've taken precautions.

What precautions?

Not providing access. The research is either available in fragmented, encoded notes, or in my own memory. It would take far too much effort for anyone to find it, there.

Codes are broken all the time, and memories can be tampered with. For someone really determined there is no "too much effort".

....assuming anyone is overly concerned with my research, and takes the - more likely than not - three to seven years to figure out the coded notes I have written and piece them together, they will still only see a very small fraction of what I have learned, which is, itself, not yet much of anything.

I suspect my mind is a bit more difficult to tamper with than others. At least for anyone wishing to simply pick up specific memories. ...that may require further tests, too, now that I think about it.

For some people, three to seven years is nothing. Blink of an eye. And if the cause is what they care about, they'll be concerned, incredibly so.

Why is your mind more difficult to tamper with? You've been possessed once already. It doesn't take much to rid a person of vervain and compel them. Other vampires can do a glamoring thing that can't be protected against. Telepathic powers exist in other worlds. Are you truly immune to all mind effects?
