Okay, so we both know that Raphael wants to free Lucifer and Michael and have the Apocalypse. And we know that there are factions in Hell who want the same. So we need both sides ruled by sane people, like me and whoever my angelic counterpart might be. Obviously, my top choice is you, but I have bias.

So we need to juice us up. And what's the best type of juice around?

Well, I'd listen to any recommendations you might have on that score.

I mean souls, but not the ones you might be thinking of. Obviously, the ones in Heaven are claimed, and I'm not handing over the ones in Hell to any angel, that's like signing my death warrant. And the human souls on Earth, well, no angel would ever go for that ~~except maybe Balthazar~~ and I take a certain pride in my work, I don't just snatch souls on a whim.

There are potentially other souls though.

This might sound insane, but I want to find Purgatory.

He's got a point that Joshua could see things the rest of us couldn't but that cage was sealed completely, no door, nothing, it had to be. Lucifer would have found any loophole he could and he was more than capable of it.

And I know well that he talked to Azazel, communication was possible otherwise the Winchesters would just be people, people with quite a noble history but nothing special

I don't know what the angle was with this, but it makes no sense. And he's not stupid. I don't know why this was even considered or if he even believed it. I just...

See, that's what I was saying. I don't know this Joshua dude, maybe he knew stuff, maybe he was lying, but there's no chance that there's some back door to the Cage. Lucifer would have found it. Azazel would have found it. Seals wouldn't have needed to be broken, and we wouldn't have had to collect the rings to shove them back.

I don't know what Castiel was smoking, but when he was coming out with that crap, first he'd ever mentioned it, even when we were trying to plan getting Lucifer back in, he just seemed too deluded to work with.

Of course I defended you. He doesn't get to badmouth you to me.
