	Stefan is helping a lot, and Caroline, and Kol. Elijah tries, but he's fussing. And Nik, well, he's Nik and gets frustrated at me. Not helped by Ruby being a giant bitch at me. Tomorrow sounds good. Short version? Sam attacked Kol's friend, Rose. Kol got pissed off. Ruby said she would go for anyone who hurt Sam. I pointed out that we weren't going after Sam, we'd just defend ourselves if he came after us. She took that as a threat and is apparently horribly offended that we can't be killed. So now she wants to torture us.

So yeah, she says she'll curse one of us. Fun, huh?

	So tension plus I'm sure her own insanity over not having Sam around equaled her losing it even more. Not really surprised. He's kind of her whole life. 	Pretty much. I was sympathetic to her over Sam, I offered to help, but she told me to shove off and threatened my entire family. Which is not okay. The fact we can't die seems to be something she's personally offended by. Not yet. Though I think we're all braced for it, just in case. She seems to be planning some sort of point proving gesture. I haven't got a clue. She's insane right now, and as much as I understand why, if she hurts my baby brother, nothing will stop the storm that will be the rest of my family.

Which isn't me threatening you or Lawrence or anything. You know that, right? That I'm not threatening anyone? I mean, I know I've always said I'd destroy anyone who hurt my family or friends, but that doesn't make me any worse than anyone else around here, does it? Or is it worse because I could actually do it?

To me, no, it doesn't. There are always alternatives for how to react if someone does attack one of you. It doesn't necessarily mean react with brute strength even though that may be what you're prone to do and even want to do. I think we all say some version of that. Except Clark. But then I saw what he was like when I was dead once so...who knows what we're all really capable of if genuinely pushed to the extreme.

I know when we're being rational (and by "we" I mean people in general) we can all say that there are other options, that we don't have to be violent, etc etc. But how many of us actually do that when we're pushed? If the people we love are hurt, most people react emotionally, don't they? And vampires, my kind anyway. We are emotion. Everything we feel is more intense than a human. When we hurt we really really really hurt. All our instincts are to lash out and hurt back.

People just seem to get so much angrier with us when we point this out or when we get protective. Is it because they know that not only cold we follow through with it, but there's not really anything anyone could do to stop us?

It probably does have a lot to do with fear. People don't like something that's unstoppable. But then I look at Clark and he's pretty unstoppable, but they don't treat him with kid gloves so it has to be more than that. He can be stopped by kryptonite though and I do have that here if he does ever lose it or another version of him loses it. Not at all fun to use either.

I think you all had one step against you because of things you've done before getting here. How long have all of you been here now? We're a few months shy of a year, right? I think it takes time for some and maybe it'll take more time for people to truly give you all a chance. I'm not sure. It's not a black and white issue.
