Filtered against Evil
It's the time again. For anyone who is interested, we will be opening on Thursday with our new show and running for the next few weekends.

[Peter V.]

Are you feeling any better than you were when I've visited?

[Armand]

Yes, you have a good grasp of the computer. And while I know you support me, there really is no need to come to this particular performance. It's the story of our lives, of the beginning of the Pimpernel. Truthfully, you already know it. So don't fret on the matter, dear brother. There are certain things

[Percy]

I feel more anxious than I have in a long time, though I imagine it has something to do with the fact I still do not know what to answer once the talent agents show up on Wednesday. That and I worry Armand will decide to show up.

That is understandable. Though I highly doubt you would need to give them an answer on the spot? You can always hear what they have to say then take time to think it over properly before you need to make a decision. Do you want me to keep him otherwise occupied?

I imagine I could buy time that way, yes...

And if you could, that would be wonderful. He doesn't need to know how I supported us.

That could perhaps be the best course of action if you are still uncertain come Wednesday.

Of course I can. I can take him out on the town, help him get acquainted with the city.

It does seem that way.

Yes, you could. Though I imagine he may suspect why you aren't coming to support me or why these outings just so happen on my performance nights, even if he idolizes you. But keeping him busy during the performances would be ideal.

What's the show?

The Scarlet Pimpernel, in which I will be staring as, well, myself. It is a musical production based upon a revolution and secret identities. That makes sense? Maybe

You're new here, yes? My name is Marguerite and sometimes you will find that people here are considered fictional, I happen to fall into that category.

Have to say I've never heard of that. I might check it out though.

I am, I'm Luke. Is it odd being though to be fictional? I mean it sounds odd to me...

Some have, some have not. And you should, it's a fun show, and I'm not just saying that because I'm in it.

Pleasure to meet you, Luke. And it depends? From what I've seen, different people respond differently to it. My husband and I have watched all the versions of our life that exists for curiosity's sake, as well as my own interest from being an actress. Some shun it and avoid it, others seem to enjoy it.

I'll go check it out then.

I can see both sides truthfully. I have no idea where I stand on it myself. I suppose I'll see what happens.

All right. It seemed there were issues before. Nor can you avoid everything or one forever.

So the kitchen magically destroyed itself? Seems suspicious, dear.

And you better not be. That is no way to live and while living is hard at time, that doesn't mean you give up.

Well we do live in fucking Lawrence. Stranger shit has happened.

Why not?
That's your opinion

I fucking said I wasn't, didn't I?

It has. Which also makes living in Lawrence a very convenient excuse.

Yes. You said as much. But simply saying so doesn't make it truth. Its simply something to think about.

Oh how wonderful.

I would love to attend but I don't know that I would be ready quite yet. Will it be filmed?

But I want to be there, Marguerite. It has been a long time since I have seen you perform on a stage. I do not care if it is our story. It should not matter since I lived through it.

I would hardly call being cast as myself performing, Armand.

Unless you said everything exactly as you did then it is still acting. Please, let me watch a performance? I am intrigued to know just how accurately they portrayed our lives. I want to know what the playwright thought our lives were like.

If it were one of the ones that was vastly different beyond the names and some very base similarities (which there are plenty), I would agree, but this particular version is the life we know back home.

Ah. Then that is even more of a reason I should see it, if it holds true to our lives.

All the less, really. We already know our lives. Why I already feel I have an unfair advantage on the rest of the cast! It mostly was a point of principle because you know I would never handle someone else performing the role of me. Please, just let it go, Armand. There are things you do not need to know

Of course you may! You know how I love having you in the audience. Just in this case, it really seems unfair given the circumstances.

There should be a copy of the theatre review show we did back in April though if you are interested. I'm sure Percy has it somewhere.

Well I hope you will! And as of now, that is the only chance I've really gotten to perform here as there was a massive attack on the city right before we were to open with a show, so we showcase some of the scenes from the show we were unable to perform as well as a variety of other shows to showcase everyone within the troupe.

Just means the actual arts critic for the paper will be there this time. I'm sure the reviews will be superb.
